Well, it was a lot of fun, every booth had an alabam rig. I bought one...but also, Babe winklman was there talking about fishing in ontario, Don Watters was the pro at the the super bass clinic, and he was very informative. Got to learn about the erie darter and he taught me some good stuff. Also got to talk to some pros about fishing Guntersville which I hope to be going to in april. And jerky, mmmmmm peppered venison jerky.

Alright, I'll be there Saturday for the super bass clinic, says it cost $25 but you get a gift worth more or something, I'll probably be there for the majority of the day as well. My canal was frozen over last year on newyears night (doesnt usually because it has current going through it) And this year. No ice at all. How strange. I just hope this doesn't mean a longer winter. I want to go fishing! I would like to get some snow, makes everything look nice.

Lions Should have won it. When Titus young caught that touchdown and it wasn't ruled a touchdown, I about lost it. We have the ability to review plays in a matter of seconds and get the call down to the field. Why don't we? The challenging? I hate challenging plays, we would have gotten the touchdown if we didn't have to challenge two plays. The first "fumble/down" (In lions favor) was definitely right. The second one (Greenbay's favor) was also right. But since we got the first one right, why should it cost us anything, it was the ref's fault. GB is a hell of a team. A good defense despite today's showing. And our offensive line is getting better. not great but it's getting there. Our only problem is our running game. Oh if only we had Barry Sanders. I never watched him play but watch highlights, and oh my lawdy if we had somebody like him......Perhaps the draft will give us a good RB. The lions are not what they used to be. I feel better now.

I have KVDs Bass Strategies, and have gotten halfway through it then I stopped but I plan on picking it back up over the winter. And perhaps several of the suggestions made here will be added to my library.

What kind of backpack is that BadBASS88? I got the BPS stalker backpack, and it has pretty much all my tackle. But I dont really need all my tackle when bank fishing. I also have a satchel that holds 2 360 boxes and 1 350 box. But I really would like to have the ability to put one more box in there or more room for soft plastics.

I remember a thread that showed how various brands of lipless cranks sat in the water I'll do a search for it and see if I can find anything.

I dont know how it happned but i was just looking at my guides on my veritas and one of them as bent down, I bent it back up but some of the epoxy on it had chipped off. Not the epoxy on the blank covering the thread, but around the base of the guide. I have some devcon 2-ton and Im wondering if i put a little bit around the bottom if everything will be ok?

For the price, the zoom swimmin fluke is AWESOME.

Did a company used to make these colors for stick baits, or is this just a color and flake combination you think would work. Usually if the fish are hitting stick baits, they hit whatever color I throw at them.

Has anyone tried Sufix's Invisiline Castable Flurocarbon? Siege and elite are the best monofilaments I have ever used and I would think that there other lines would be pretty good as well.

Im going to start using fluro next year and will probably start doing this next year. Just wondering if anybody has found a way to take up the space the filler line does but perhaps with not as much weight? For heavy lures, it probably wouldn't make much of a difference but for soft plastics it might. Who knows, just something that popped into my head.

Went to my shore spot today around 1030, fished till 2. Pretty much just hit every single dock with a dark brown and blue jig. Casting a little past the pilings and then letting it soak for a minute, then a nice slow hop, and let it sit again. Very cloudy and was about 40 degrees. Wish I could have caught at least one for the year, but it just felt good to be outside fishing. CANNOT wait till Guntersville!
