  1. You didn't have a bathroom or anything?
  2. Working in a kitchen sucks. That's all I really have to say about that.
  3. Well, looks like I'm going to have to buy some. When I heard about them and just reeling them in with no action I was a skeptical. Then I thought about it some more and a shad that isn't scared or hurt and is just swimming slowly in a straight line....easy meal for a bass.
  4. My kayak. Fishing from a kayak near the same areas i shore fished gave me a whole new perspective.
  5. I don't see any benefits of using cork over foam. Unless you like the look of cork. Are there any benefits of cork vs. foam other than price?
  6. I want to but i have no use for them. I know my grandpa use to use them to fertilize his garden, but i have no garden =/.
  7. Oh my word, that is beyond epic!
  8. Saw that picture, and my dam jaw was on the floor. That is a pretty neat pet though. Do you keep it in a tank?
  9. My friend had some peppermint flavored kind. Being curious, I asked if i could try some and gave it a fair try. Not terrible, but not for me. I don't like smoking either, well not tobacco at least
  10. Screw putting it on my boat...will be figuring out a way to mount it on a kayak.
  11. If you want to catch some MONSTER bass, stay the h, e, double hockey sticks away from Michigan.
  12. Pearl, only color I've been using all year. I have a pack of baby bass, but pearl is my first choice in all situations. Never lets me down. And always weightless. The types of retrieves I use are usually 3 twitches (and I mean twitches, not jerks) and a good long pause. Or Continuous twitching and it kind of pops out the water a little bit. When fish are hitting that, loads of fun ensues.
  13. Ahhhhh, the universe is back in order. Thanks Glenn!
  14. Definitely will be buying. A good healthy population of turtles in my favorite kayaking area.
  15. Just pulled up TW and saw this: http://www.***.com/Hydrowave_Electronic_Feeding_Stimulator/descpage-HWEFS.html I don't own a boat to mount a trolling motor on but even if i did i don't think I would use it. What do you guys think about it?
  16. I don't have many friends that fish, and the ones that do, well, can't keep up with me lol. Maybe some shore fishing at Metro Beach or Stoney Creek? I got a kayak but no actual boat to fish from
  17. The other day, I caught a bass that had a minnow in it's mouth about an inch long. Still intact and looked pretty fresh. When I paddled over to where i caught him to see what drew him to the spot, there were huge schools of those minnows. I kept seeing wakes over there repeatedly and when I casted over there, it must have just done an attack run on the minnows. Was pretty neat to see it in it's mouth.
  18. I like it dude! Top notch bass in that video!
  19. Split shot rig with a small 5 inch curly tail worm is straight deadly.
  20. On a spinnerbait. As soon as the thing hit the water, something huge sucked it in and I thought (as many others in here did) that I had a lunker bass. Nope, just a huge carp. The fight was great though. I think it weighed 24lbs? and that was on 12lb line, whew.
  21. That about does it. I would suggest a 1/2oz white spinnerbait though. Just my personal preference.
  22. Baked goods in general is a weakness. There is a place called East Detroit Bakery, and they have THE BEST everything. It's about a 45 min trip from my house, but if I'm in the area, I stop in. Apple firtters are just a party im your mouth. Also, where I work, we got these garlic rolls. Whenever they come fresh out of the oven, I make sure to nab one!
  23. Alright so went out today and caught three +3 pounders from about 10am-12pm. My first one was caught in a pocket that was along the edge of some weed mats. I paddle up to the pocket and noticed minnows swimming in the pockets. Also, when i caught one fish, it had one of the minnows in it's mouth. So, im not sure if it's a pattern or not, but i looked for those pockets everywhere, and everywhere i was catching a fish, not all huge but fish indeed. Kind of the first time I have ever developed a real strategy based on THAT day. Usually I just cast to spots i think are good. Instead of spots that I knew where producing. A great day for fish and a great learning experience. I also caught a, what I think was, about 30in muskie. He got to the side of the kayak and shook off, which I was fine with because I really didn't want to take him off the hook from a kayak.
  24. I 've been crushing barbs on hooks this year, mainly on my worm hooks. Haven't lost a fish due to it yet.
  25. I only own 4 combos, 3 of the reels are daiwa(regal, TD Advantaqge spin, td Advantage BC), and one is an okuma(citrix). I like the citrix a lot though, for the price, i think I will be buying another!
