  1. This is why i permanently switched to Megastrike. It's thick like vaseline and I don't even mind the smell. Perhaps, mix your juice with some megastrike, make a super scent!
  2. It's not a lake, more like a creek off of lake st. clair. The middle of it is probably 10-15 ft deep and gets shallower at the edges and is very weedy all over. So instead of fishing the edges of the water, go to the middle with some jigs or bigger plastics?
  3. So was out in the kayak yesterday at about 8am till 1pm. I caught 2 but had many bites. I take the blame for the missed bites though. Anyways, at about 10:30ish, the bites stopped. I fished for a while longer using a flick shake thinking a lighter more finesse presentation would help. Still nothing. Not even on a Rage Craw in bama craw color worked past 10:30 (which is what I've been getting bites and catching them on)! So when the sun gets way up there and it starts getting hotter...do they just shut down till the evening? I know they are there because I can catch them during the afternoon period but the bite is slower than a crawl. This is one from yesterday, was using Rage craw(bama) with a keel weighted hook and buzzing it along the surface, thing hit like dynamite!
  4. Where is it? I did a search on google maps, but did not find the lake.
  5. That is just awesome!
  6. I got the reel(7.3:1 with the citrix rod (7'M). And I love it! Easily casts my lighter baits. It's very smoothe and casts like a dream. I also love the color scheme, the dark blue and orange is awesome. I also have a TD advantage w/ a veritas. Although I love the TD Advantage, I think I'm going to buy more another Citrix, in the near future. How do y'all like your's?
  7. 6'6MH Veritas, with a TD Advantage spinning reel - 8lb test, most all soft plastics 7'MH Veritas, with a TD Advantage(6.4:1) BC - 12lb test, spinnerbaits, jigs, lipless, heavier weighted plastics, some cranks 7'M Okuma Citrix rod, with an Okuma Citrix(7.1:1) reel - Any lighter stuff or things I want to burn. I shore fish about 85% of the time so it would be hard carrying around a combo for every technique. These 3 setups do very well just beating the banks.
  8. I might have to buy some. Today, my last rage craw got torn to the point of non usable and ya....
  9. Sounds excellent but, to expensive for my taste.
  10. I'm using Chrome and have had no problems since the sight came back up
  11. Lol. Michigan's got fudging cold winters, and fudging hot/humid summers. Welcome to the state hahahaha.
  12. X3, I love having a scale. I used to think fish were much bigger than they were and now its like "OH LAWD 4 POUNDER, oh, 2lbs 5oz
  13. I got plenty of musky lures, but I'm lacking the big bass aspect here in Michigan lol. Nice bass btw!
  14. Pretty sure thats a largie, but yeah, it looks pretty weird.
  15. Who needs WebMD, when you got BassResource and doctor A-Jay. I do it as well, especially rage tail stuff. I don't even like coffee, I just like smelling them On another note, I just remembered those commercials about the dad finding drugs in the kids room and the dad asks, "Where'd you learn this?!?" and the kids says "From you dad!" Lol just swap out the drugs with some soft plastics and a rod.
  16. For senkos like baits, use them one way, then put the hook into the other end, then use it as a wacky senko.
  17. Mono on everything. Specifically Suffix Elite. I would use braid, but I feel like it prevents me from getting bites, and I don't hassling with a leader. I do have some yo-zuri hybrid #12, and I think I will be spooling that on one of my BC this summer.
  18. Oh my word! Those are NOICE!
  19. You haven't tried the TD Advantage then eh? I like it quite a bit!
  20. My goal is to just not get skunked! And if you can catch a limit with senkos, more power to ya man!
  21. Had no idea they had grubs
  22. Whoa, thats pretty gross, I can just imagin snagging some hair an skin on a crank or rattletrap . Excellent looking fish btw!
  23. Well, If you don't have any other swim jigs to change colors with, try changing up the retrieve. A conastant jerking, or slow it down, speed it up. You may want to try a different color though, that would be my first guess.
  24. What kind of retrieve do you usually use?
