  1. Yeah, talk about tanks! Post those pics.
  2. I look forward to the day when B.A.S.S. extends this idea to all of its tournaments. It is. Anyone on the bubble will have to be hot at Cayuga.
  3. Anyone who has fished for any length of time has experienced the situation where someone with less experience and knowledge catches the biggest fish or more fish. Anything is possible, but the probability is high that KVD would win the majority of the time.
  4. That was an attempt at humor. I thought the "LOL" would make it obvious.
  5. Nice fish! That pond is very small. I'm sure it is overlooked by many.
  6. I only use one when I take my boat to upper-crust restaurants and hotels.

It's time to change your handle to Rage Craw lover. (Whoops, looks like Hootie beat me to it.)

That's an excellent looking bass. Great pics and congratulations on the fat PB!
  9. What a terrible thing for this family and his friends! My thoughts and best wishes to them. The FBI is one source and it isn't a false narrative. Klebs01 is correct about the United States, and the world in general. https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/tables/1tabledatadecoverviewpdf/table_1_crime_in_the_united_states_by_volume_and_rate_per_100000_inhabitants_1994-2013.xls This information is available to all if you do research, and by research I don't mean listening to or reading the sources that always feed you information that coincides with one's preconceived opinion on the subject. That is a sure path to thinking one is knowledgeable while being misinformed. Original source documents are often available if you take the time to find them.
  10. Night fishing scares me anyway. I'm afraid of the boogey man.
  11. Very, very nice! I couldn't be more jealous.

    Congratulations to your wife!
  13. I always have finesse rigs (Ned rig, shaky head, drop shot) and spoons handy at the Rock. Things can change from the last report and I often find I have to fish for suspended fish when I am there, especially on the main lake. However, if I can catch them on top, on jigs, or on wiggle warts I would be trying those first. It also depends on where you will be fishing. If you go up the James River arm it is typically not as clear and you will find the fish shallower.
  14. Excellent work, Shimmy!
  15. I agree with your point that emptying the tank is the best case scenario. For those that leave fuel in the tank, they should make sure it is full.
  16. I typically defer to your knowledge in all things regarding boats but I am not sure if you meant that plastic tanks don't have a rusting problem, or a condensation problem. Condensation will form in plastic tanks also. Storing a plastic tank full means you have less condensation to dilute your gas, right?
  17. When not using my bassboat, I fish out of a 10 foot jon boat that has not been customized in any way. I only use it on smaller lakes; however, I won't run it with two people unless the other person is one of my children/grandchildren and I am letting them do most of the fishing. You and your partner will have to be very careful when casting so that you don't tangle or hit each other. The number of rods and tackle will be limited as well with two people in the boat. I also like to stand when casting, so that could present a problem too if you or your partner want that capability. I fish out of mine by myself for the most part. If you are starting out and need a boat though, you can definitely make this configuration work. I would look for a longer boat for two people if that is feasible for you.
  18. It would be nice to be able to run all fuel out of the tank and lines but this is impractical for most of us as we need the fuel to winterize the engine. Add a fuel conditioner to your fuel such as Stabil, Star Tron, or Sea Foam and make sure you have ran the engine long enough for that conditioned fuel to be in your fuel lines and throughout the system. Make sure your tank is as full as possible to decrease the opportunity for condensation in the tank. This sounds like what you have been doing.
  19. I know how it feels. The Missouri largemouth record is 13 lbs 14 oz and I lost one a couple of weeks ago that had to be pushing 15. I was fishing a pink rattletrap and when I pulled her to the surface and tried to lip her. I put my whole hand in her mouth. Alas, she broke free and disappeared into the depths, almost pulling me out of the boat. I nicknamed her Dottie and will be posting a video of the pond/lake she inhabits in the not-to-distant future.
  20. Wow. A 96 inch beam, max 200 HP, and enough storage to live in a boat that is less than 19 feet long. I am quite impressed with this boat. How many boats of this length can accommodate 9 foot rods in the locker.
  21. Ditto on Bluebasser and Paul's remarks, but with an addendum. Starting off I don't think fishing will be better. In fact, with 7 years of the lake drawn down I suspect the survival of fry has been less due to less places to hide. You would have had a better population now if it hadn't been drawn down all these years. However, now that all the new vegetation is underwater cover, recruitment over the next few years should be better. In a few years you should notice a better bass population, all other things being equal.
  22. I think that is a very good point. Two events can be correlated, and still, no cause and effect may exist between the two. Other extenuating factors have to be analyzed as well.
  23. Yeah. And I can also tell what brand of prop and if it is a three blade or four blade.
