  1. You won the battle but he will ALWAYS win the war!!!! ;D
  2. Seems like these situations are getting ever so popular!!!! >
  3. I'm a simple man so, i will take a Loomis MBR843C GLX paired with an Abu Garcia Revo STX, LOL!!!! This rod is suppose to be a very versatile all around great rod. I could use it for almost every technique i wanted(since i only have one combo). As for the Revo, well, it's a Revo ya know!!!
  4. The hardest of bites to feel is a worm/jig bite to me. You will either see your line leaving one way or another, feel the tap tap or the "mushy feeling". It has been my experience that the fish will react to the lure moving by trying to flee the area. For example, you pitch/cast your worm out, let it settle then lift the rod up and feel resistance. You are unsure if its a fish or a snag, well what i do is pull slightly and if it's a fish 9 times out of 10 the line will start moving away.
  5. I use my Powell Max 766H flippin stick.
  6. You better let em know something roadwarrior, LOL!!!! ;D
  7. I still suck on my own lake... ;D Instead of Dancing with the stars we could have fishing with the pros, LOL!!!!! ;D
  8. Anyone try the Kistler Argon Flip n' Pitch 7'1" Heavy?
  9. Powell Max all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I like it weightless or behind a Tungsten weight flipped into heavy cover.
  11. Custom hand made 1/4-3/8oz jigs with full size Berkley Chigger Craw as a trailer. The jig being green pumpkin w/orange strands and the chigger craw being Sapphire blue. Yeah, i know, weird color but it works for me. All my jig fish have come from flippin' and pitchin'.
  12. I would take him on..................it would be an honor to lose to my favorite pro angler, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I just gathered up all my excess tackle that i don't use and/or have too much of and included it as part of my wifes yard sale today. Believe it or not i made $172 of of just plastic lures and an Abu spinning reel!!! ;D
  14. I have been known to mix powder garlic and a bit of water in a zip lock bag then soak lures in it.
  15. My guess exactly!
  16. Do not avoid your destiny my child.......................the monkey will guide you in the right direction, LOL! I'm in the same boat as you man, i broke my glasses two weekends ago and i need some bad!
  17. I actually did but they where a little too much power for me, LOL!!! ;D
  18. I vote for the Revo S man! Very smooth and VERY strong!!
  19. The Powell 705C is the rod i am selling now(mentioned in the original post)! I love the rod but it is too flimsy at the tip. Way over rated IMO!! Not sure about Powell, but the Dobyns 705c has one hell of a tip. Great worm rod, if you're looking for something tough. I use 733 and 734 for all my worming needs, I leave the 5 powers for jigs. Just a thought, hope you don't take this as an insult, but when I heard flimsy, I thought maybe you had the 705cb? Cause the Dobyns 705 is nothing flimsy at all. Good luck. That is very weird man! I was under the impression that Powell and Dobyns where almost identical in power/action ratings? I just don't understand how the Powell 705C is rated Mag Heavy/Extra Fast when it has less action and power than my MH/F Mojo!?! It's a shame because i really like the rod too. I am at a loss for ideas right now! I have been through so many rods that claim Heavy/Fast that i am scared to order another guys!!!! > Do you think that maybe i just expect/want too much from a rod? All my research shows that Powell and Dobyns are identical in power/action. If that is so and you find it to be very powerful and have a stiff tip than it's just me!
  20. The Powell 705C is the rod i am selling now(mentioned in the original post)! I love the rod but it is too flimsy at the tip. Way over rated IMO!!
  21. Was the XPS the best in strength out of all the lines? What size Trilene would you recommend for cattails, bullrush, grass etc?
  22. I will not use a Carrot due to my brother's crappin' out on him in the first month! I have used a Cumara and i liked it but the blank is just so thin it makes me nervous, LOL!!! The Kistler is a bit out of my price range! I need a broomstick with a reel seat i guess, LOL!
  23. Hello all! I have been in search for a worm rod to pitch t-rigged plastics for the last couple months now. I have bought 4 rods so far and none have met my expectations! I bought a Powell Max, St. Croix Mojo, All star Platinum and a Kistler worm rod. I sold the All Star and the Kistler and will be selling the Powell and Mojo also. I need a rod in at least 7' with Heavy or extra heavy power and a fast or ex fast tip. I pretty much want a fliipin' sticks characteristics in a 7' rod. I also want the split grip handles, no fore grip feature and fuji components. Every rod so far has been very over rated in there actions and power! Can anyone recommend a rod for me or do they not make one like this yet, LOL?
