First Dd Bass And New Pb!
JG, You are THE MAN. As soon as I looked at your 10.1 pounder, I knew there was hardly any doubt that she would be a double digit. The give away to me, is the length and thickness of the Bass' Tail. That's where the big ones carry a lot of their weight. Spectacular!

Rainy Day
Ok. How would you compare the Netbait B Bug vs. the Z-Man Palmetto as far as fishability and catch rate? I currently use the Netbait B Bug and it's a good beaver style lure. I also fish with Z-man soft plastics, but just haven't gotten around to trying their Palmetto Bug. Thanks in advance, Hookset

Does Anyone Else Love Fishing A Silver Spoon
Back in the 70's and 80's, we use to rig the Weedless Silver Spoon with a Uncle Josh Pork Rind Eel 3inch as a trailer. Cast it up in the shallow salad or lily pads and run it back on the surface for Largemouth of all sizes. Man, that is Old School but they worked awesome. If you watch the opening to Roland Martin's show, you'll see him wading in the Big O and he's holding a real Hawg. Well the Johnson's Silver Minnow and pork trailer is what he nailed it on. I will never forget, because that's what got me into the Silver Minnow after seeing that episode.

Cold Water And Tiny Crankbaits
Here is my favorite mini-crankbait. It's a River 2 Sea 5/16oz Snub Crank. slow floater that dives to 2-3 ft. It hunts great during the retrieve.

Rainy Day
Fantastic Bass catches. One question on rigging the swing head with the Palmetto or B Bug..... Do you have the flappers or claws rigged upside down like a GYCB Fat Ika, so the bait glides away from you on the fall?

Big Bass And Massive Bluegill On Lipless
Andrew, those are great pics of the Bass and Bluegill. I'm really digging that XCaibur XR50 in the Longear Sunfish color, they're hard to find, but Bass go nuts for them. Did you get a scale yet? Weights on those lunkers?

Plastic Fish Grips For Bass
I don't mean to sound crass, but when you're driving a jig or worm hook through the roof of the Bass' mouth and into his skull or even brain cavity .....you know what I'm getting at.

Lake Baccarac Blitz ~
I know you guys are ballsy, but how do you keep from getting " Bass Thumb" like down to the bone! Does your guide net all of them?

New Pb Nh
For New Hampshire, I mean that's a Giant! That's equivalent to a teener in the Deep South. Great Catch!

6Lb Bass, Long Island New York
First of all, Outstanding effort on catching that huge bass for the Northeastern part of the county. There's many a New York bass fisherman that have Never landed a largemouth that big. Secondly, from the sounds of it, you've got quite the Lunker pond there and you need to keep that to yourself or it will be crowded with others trying to catch all those 5 and 6 pounders.

Why Would Someone Use A Mouse Bait Again?
Great Photo! Ironically, I've caught 2 bass this year with Field Mice in their gullet. I've been bass fishing for over 40 years and it's the first time I've actually seen the mouse down in there. Cool Huh?

I Know They're Here, But How Do I Find And Catch Em?
I have found that in the height of Summer, smaller Bass may jump in an attempt to catch Dragonflies or Damselfies (smaller of the two). Anyway, to address the bass catching process, I am thinking of things like- How quite are you in your approach to the casting target? How much fishing pressure does this Lake get? What type of forage are the bass preying on? If it's murky, as you say, are you soaking your bottom contact lures(worms, jigs, shaky head) long enough?

Braid
I'm with Jrob on this one. I was complacent on using Power Pro, because I didn't know any better. The Sufix Performance braid was like a "Wow" moment for me.

Setting Hook
Make sure there is no slack in your line, as you swing or most of the inertia is lost before the hook even starts to puncture flesh. Let's not kid anyone here, your goal is to pierce flesh past the barb of the hook! pierce (pɪəs) vb (mainly tr) 1. to form or cut (a hole) in (something) with or as if with a sharp instrument 2. to thrust into or penetrate sharply or violently:

Bank Fishing Forum
I even go so far as to wearing Fishouflage Camo shirts or sweat shirts. It really pays to be stealthy in your approach. Use the shrubs, tall grass and trees to help conceal yourself whenever you can. The Bass are using cover for the purpose of concealment, so should You.

Sun, Wind, Heat And Smallies, 7/6/14
Will, that 4lber is proportioned like we had growing up here in New England. If it was a Man, it would go about six foot one inch and around 205. The Smallies coming out of the Goby Lakes are 5'8 and around 230.

Spinnerbait Opinions
Vincenzo, tell us what types of water bodies do you fish? Lakes, ponds, weedy, rocky, murky, clear. We need to know the types of forage that are in the lakes you frequent? Sunfish, perch, shad. I can recommend skirt colors based on that information. Thanks.
