  1. just use it like a T Rig. You can blind cast. Just switch up retreives until you find what they like. Hop, drag, all that stuff works, I personally like rage craw or paca craw trailers. if you use a baby paca craw, they are mostly a tube, You can stick a round rattle up inside it to give it a rattle too.
  2. I started fishing a spinnerbait and had two short strike it. After a few minutes i put the megastrike on it and the fish were hammering it. HAMMERING! One of the best feelings is when you are working a spinnerbait and a fish stops it in its tracks
  3. I always give beginners a little 2" chartreuse grub on a 1/16 oz jig head with my ultra light. Or I will put on a senko if there are more than one.
  4. just got my megastrike in the mail. gonna go out to a farm pond tomorrow to try it out. So excited
  5. That is awesome. I am stoked to get to try it. I just hope I get it by Friday so I can use it on Friday afternoon
  6. 5 years ago it was Brush Hogs, but i fought the temptation. Now its rage craws
  7. I just got the original. Should I get a crawfish one too?
  8. Imma take it in. Something is up with it. I hope they are cool.
  9. How long do I have to do that through Bass Pro? I think I may do that
  10. ok. It wasnt really much, my friend couldnt tell, but something just didnt feel right.
  11. I did not. Do you think that would make it feel like its grinding a bit though?
  12. I started using my new Revo S the other day for the first time. Feels pretty good, except a bit of a cick when reeling. I dont really know how to explain it. Do yall think I need to give it another couple times out to break it in?
  13. I would get a Revo S. I just got one a few weeks ago and have been pretty dang happy with it. Like Crappiebasser said, you could get another rod and reel with the extra few bucks too
  14. I agree. Love the Exceler. Have 2 of them.
  15. Fire tiger deep cranks were the ticket for me and my partner in one tournament. I had to put one on after he was cleaning up
  16. Blues19 replied to Jake P's topic in Fishing Tackle
I didn't start fishing a worm until I got on here at Bassresource and Big O convinced me to try the Anaconda. I caught a bunch of fish on the 10" anaconda. I could fish a trick worm or finesse worm on a shakey head all day though. One time catching a 2 lb bass on a 10" Anaconda I took the bait out of its mouth and the tail was tied in an overhand knot. Reminded me of when people can tie a cherry stem in a knot in their mouth. That is how much Bass like worms
  17. Oh i will. I have a tournament where I want bragging rights hard core in may, so I wanna get some confidence with the stuff before I go, so then I can tear um up
  18. Yall are quick and helpful. I appreciate it! Im stoked to try it!
  19. I have never consistanly used a scent, but after seeing everyone loveing Megastrike and watching the video of fish not letting go, I had to get some. Anyway, I have a few questions. 1. Do yall put it on baits that already have a scent? 2. how often do you re-megastrike your bait? 3. Typically, how long does a tube last? I dont know if I need to order two or not. Thanks guys!
  20. I use plastic rubbermaid boxes to store my soft plastics. I have a box for each kind of bait, creatures, craws, worms, senkos... I use my plastic plano boxes for jigs, cranks, and spinnerbaits and all the other jazz. I got a round rod holder at a garage sale for about $5 so I keep rod on that
  21. It takes a complex mind to come up with that thought. Anyway, the white would look grey because the sun is not shining on the bottom of the rod, its shaded by the top of the rod.
  22. I got a Daiwa Exceler for $80 and I love it. I will shakey head all day with it and its been fantastic for me
  23. I agree with bassh8er I would stick with a few colors. I would go Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Red, and Black with red glitter. Roadwarrior had a nice list of things. I would make sure to get some shakey head stuff. I like the Spot Remover jig heads, but I would also get some shakey head jig heads with a wide gap. For plastics I would get Brush Hogs, Baby Brush hogs, FInesse Worms and Trick worms.
  24. I would like to know too!
