Kinami Go Out Of Business Or Merge With Pops?
Thank you Bluebasser. I didnt intend on this topic to start fights. I was just interested if there was a story about what happened with Kinami

All Pro Rods
Ive used one and liked the rod. I dont remember if I used the APX Graphite Professional or the Smallmouth Guru. But whichever it was, I liked it quite a bit.

Kinami Go Out Of Business Or Merge With Pops?
The PsychoDad was originally a Kinami bait but is now a Yamamoto bait. Which is part of the reason I see it being a merge of the two companies. As well as the fact that the link for the kinami website on their facebook page takes you to the Yamamoto page. But yeah, they are/were different, but the same, but different.

Update, Update!! Carbonlite Rods!
I guess I will have to look at them both to figure out which one I prefer

Kinami Go Out Of Business Or Merge With Pops?
We all know Kinami is/was owned by Gary Yamamotos son and the baits were pretty much identical except for a few colors and baits like the Nories Bug. Did Kinami not do as well as Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits so they just stopped making them? I wanted to get a pack of Palm Trees a few months ago to try out, so I could spend a few bucks less than getting a pack of Fat Ikas, just to give them a try. Couldnt find any Kinami at Bass Pro. Went online and looked all over. Went on their facebook page and the newst post was from 2013 and the Kinami Baits website takes you to GYCB website. When did they merge or just stop making the Kinami? How did I miss it?

Square Bill Newbie
Like some have said, most are shallow, however the Luck-E-Strike Freak is a Deep Diving Squarebillled crank. They all seem to run different, some with wider wobbles than others. The Bomber Square A is probably my favorite crankbait to fish. I have done really well on them

Gary Yamamoto Fat Ika Any Good?
I have some Damiki Hydras. I guess I will have to get me a pack of the Fat Ikas cause I have read so much about them.

My 2015 Shimano And Berkley
I love the minimalistic approach Berkley took when making the E-Motion. Looks really cool. Cant wait to hear how they preform

New Carbonlite Rods
It concerns me as well. Gonna wait for quite a few reviews before I go out and get one.

Braid As A Backer... How Much?
That is the way I'm leaning. I had considered trying it, but it seems like more of a hassle than just going with the straight line.
-
Braid As A Backer... How Much?
I feel like the braid cant make the spool "that" much lighter, but I trust his opinion.

Braid As A Backer... How Much?
Im pretty sure Aaron Martens puts a bit of braid on all his baitcasters. He said it makes it lighter and makes the spool spin faster. Just unsure about how much he puts on there
-
Braid As A Backer... How Much?
Aaron Martens talks about putting braid on his reels as a backer. He said it gives him an extra 10 feet on a cast. Do any of yall do this? Also, how much should you put on there?

Dressing Warm?
For the coldest days, I wear thermal pants and shirt for my base layer. I'll wear flannel lined jeans and a pair of gor-tex bibs. If its super cold I will wear a pair of fleece PJ pants under the jeans and over the Thermals. On top I'll wear another long sleeve shirt and either a fleece shirt or jacket. Then I put on another fleece with an extra large hoody. For my head I will wear a Balaclava with a beenie on top. I have a neoprene facemask that i wear with my sunglasses over for running. Also: I played A LOT of soccer growing up and have a lot of extra old soccer socks. I use to cut the feet off the socks with holes and used the long leg part of the sock as sleeves. If you put them over a base layer it adds quite a bit of warmth.

When To Use What Jig Head?
Thanks! Exactly what I was lookin for! Didnt see that in my search

When To Use What Jig Head?
There are about a billion types of jig heads out there for jigs now. When do you know when to use them? When is a Round head best? When will the Arkie excell? How do you personally decide what to use? Do you have the heads narrowed down to one or two styles?

Your Tackle Short List
Flicker Shad is on sale at Bass Pro for 3.97

Yum Dinger 7" Not Available
I was at the Bass Pro outlet and they had a handfull of the 7" Dingers for like $2.50 or something like that. You could possibly give them a call and see if they can send them to you. I am not sure if that would work out, but why not give it a shot?

Rod Sleeves
I use mostly Bass Pro ones. They are good enough for the job. I expect to see them on sale again for the classic. I have had some of the smaller guides pop of them though, so I may look for a higher quality sleeve for the rods with smaller guides

Fishing Gloves
Ive used football gloves. They were some friends old ones. Not sticky like some are. The sticky may have worn off, I really dont know. But they were a good windblock which is huge. And they had a good grip. I lost one so I dont use them. Denny Brauer (I think it was him) said he uses golf gloves. I may try golf or batting gloves this year.

Bps Extreme Vs Carbonlite
I went to Bass Pro today and looked at both the CarbonLites and Extremes, and the new CarbonLites are crazy light. But to me the lightness isnt a huge deal. My first 2 baitcasting rods are both Extremes from 12-13 years ago and still going strong. I am considering a CarbonLite, but I wanna see how the reviews are. I am also considering getting one of the older models of Extreme or CarbonLite, if they are on clearance, but right now, at the Bass Pro HQ in Springfield, all the old Extremes and CarbonLites are still on the rod holders with all the new ones.

First Time Jigs
Its very addictive!

Bps Extreme Vs Carbonlite
I see a lot of love on here for the CarbonLite, however I dont see a whole lot about the Extremes. I personally love the 2 extremes I have, enough to get a 3rd when they were on clearance for $60 a few months ago. I have not used a CarbonLite, so I cant comment on them. I find it interesting that Bass Pro has 2 rods in the $99 price range. What are the differences between these rods? For those of you all who have used both, which do you prefer?
