help finding fish in this lake?
It sounds to me like you already have this lake figured out; I would suggest you keep doing what you are already doing.

Catch & release or keep?
It's all depends on the body of water selective harvesting is necessary on certain bodies of water other wise you are doing more harm than good. On my home lake of Toledo Bend you could not do any damage to the bass population by keeping a legal limit of 8 bass over 14. Even during peak fishing times like pre-spawn, Memorial Day, Labor Day, & the week of the 4th of July there is not enough pressure to harm this lake.

I do the same thing except I turn my reel handle about a ¼-½ turn at a time or slowly moving my rod from the 2 o'clock position to the 12 o'clock position 6-8 at a time; pausing to shake the worm in place. I also us this technique with a big jig as well

Fishing when it's cloudy/raining?
First the bass don't mind getting wet so don't worry about the rain Second the bass's strike zone is greatly increased Third I try to schedule my trips during such conditions as long as it aint sever thunderstorms

Trailering bow ring
I'll definitely give this careful consideration but my first inclination is to install the bolt, inject the hole with a 2 part epoxy, and install an over sized washer then the nut. I would want to research which epoxy a little farther and the possibility of maybe a metal sleeve over the bolt.

what is the prettiest lake you have been on
I like em all A few years back I went on vacation to Northern Ohio, along the way I would purposely drive close enough to get a look at many of the infamous bass lakes this nation has to offer. I would love to fish em all and the go abroad

Interested in other's opinions here.....`
I think the misunderstanding comes from people believing Run & Gun simply means turning the trolling motor on high and aimlessly wondering down a bank. KVD may very well be the fastest anglers on the circuit but believe me he is not just aimlessly wondering down a bank. He has selected a number of pieces of structure during pre-fishing and on each day he attacks each aggressively for a predetermined amount of time. Now once aggressive bass have been located even KVD will slow down enough to catch every available bass from that piece of structure. It's a fine combination of both techniques that will make or break you on each outing.

Déjà vu Round 2
Actually it's almost like cheating Lacassine Wildlife Refuse is very shallow marsh with 2' max, but right now it's down to about 12-14 or less; some areas are actually dry. The big bass are in the canals which are 6-8' deep & an easy cast in width. Since last Wednesday this area of about 5 miles of canals have produced my 2 10's, a 10.7, a 11.3, a 12.4 & a 12.8. I plan on going back Friday, I want one over 12

Motor mount question??
All boats have characteristics of their own & none sit perfectly level in the water. As Way2slow stated the factory does not just stick a motor up there, drill holes & bolt a motor on.

night fishin??
Night fishing areas: I normally fish the same areas fished during the day with one exception; night lighted areas. Lighted docks, lighted boat ramps, a row of camps with lights along the bank or a single camp with a light near the water. I know a killer spot on Toledo Bend where a road parallels the water's edge with several streetlights within 10 yards of the water. These lighted areas are also productive during a new moon and should be fished thoroughly. Shallow verses deep water: I have not noticed a distinct advantage one way or the other. I will normally fish both areas thoroughly staying with the one that produces the best results. However shallow water does offer a greater opportunity to use different baits.

Bailing out
I was reading edbassmaster's last trip out and he mentioned how he when in after his personal best; the DD I caught today I did the same in gator filled water wading out to knee deep water to lip her. I've bailed out of a boat in this same marsh, wading 20 yards just to lip a 7 lber. Y'all ever bail out to lip a fish?
