I have dozens of honey holes on Toledo Bend that are either in a boat lane or within casting distance of one; my PB came off one hole that you can cast & hit the buoy marker. Now a sudden loud noise in the back of a quite cove is something totally different.

Made another trip to Lacassine Wildlife Refuse this time I didn't waste time with Rat-L-Traps going instead straight to a V &M 9 Super Ringer Worm Black Neon. The results were 18 tight-eyes & another Hawg of 10.061 lbs; length: 23.5 x girth: 18.5 Sorry guys but I can't resist but V &M Super Ringer Worms are enhanced by pork fat and anise oil cooked into the bait.

I throw weightless worms with my bait casting reels but one little puff of wind & you'll have a professional overrun

Last Thursday I throw Rat-L-Traps for 3 hours and caught 12 tight-eyes; made 2 casts with a worm and caught a 10.37# hawg. Care to guess what I'll be throwing tomorrow?

So Berkley's test results would in no way be bias? Walk up & down any aisle in any tackle store smelling each name brand of plastic for anise or garlic. Bet you right now the results will be at least 75% will have either anise or garlic, yet Berkley says these two scents are the least preferred flavors by bass and were spit out very quickly. Very interesting

I use attractants for two purposes first as a lubricant because I fish in grass a lot and the attractant helps my plastic baits slide through easier. I use Fish Formula II or Baitmate (clear) with a ½ oz of pure anise oil added; this is to mast any odor my plastic may have pick up.
