Dominant and aggressive?
Very good avid, but when that smaller bass dashes in quickly to grab a bait and the larger bass inhales the smaller bass who's more aggressive? Again I'll ask how can one be dominate and not be aggressive? Was Sugar Ray Leonard not dominate in his weight class by being the most aggressive? Or how about Ali, Holyfeild, or Tyson? I love making people think ;D

jig size in winter
My basic jig setups are 3 to 3 ½ for finesse jigs and 3 ½ to 5 ½ for heavy jigs, this stays consistent year round. I'll speed up or slow down the rate of fall with thinner or thicker trailers.

trolling for Bass
I'm a student of Buck Perry so you bet I've trolled for bass on Toledo Bend with Spoon Plugs, Mudbugs, Hell Benders, & DD Balsa B's. Trolling is the #1 method far catching Striped Bass year round on the Big Pond. 8-)

BassResource.com---Who's looking??
What has amazes me is of the number of young people who actively participate and their knowledge. At 55 yrs old this gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling than our beloved sport will be left in very capable hands. Merci Beau Coup Glenn! (Thank You Large) Tommy Thibodeaux

Dominant and aggressive?
Big bass will not only be found occupying the prime spawning areas but living on the prime structure/cover. This is considered as being DOMINANT, if they are not the most aggressive how could they keep these positions?

Life jackets???
I like the neoprene jackets because they offer protection from cold, wind, rain, & bugs at night.

Pre-fishing - good or bad
Shad_Master I believe it was the university of Oklahoma or a university in Florida but I'm not 100%, I've got it wrote down some where. I know Doug Hannon mentions it in one of his books, again I believe Big Bass Magic. B.A.S.S had an article with information gathered from their Lunker Club section showing 10 lb+ bass caught on plastic worms more than doubled the next closest lure a jig.

Dominant and aggressive?
By definition can one be dominate and not be aggressive? You think the bigger bass would hesitate and let the smaller fish have its prey?

Time of year question
1) Is their a consistent air temp that you stop bass fishing for the year? That would be uhhhh no! 2) Maybe tell what state you fish most and if there is a temp or time of year when you call it quits. Southwest Louisiana & Southeast Texas I've fished both extremes in winter 28 degrees/sleeting & summer 92 degrees/98 percent humidity at 2 o'clock am. Two weather conditions can stop me, wind above 25 mph, & lighting Anything else is game on

National College Football Champions?
USC is toast; they lost to an unranked team, & will most likely lose again. I repeat again there is no strength of schedule in the BCS computer like there were a couple of years ago. When the BSC first started all this information was feed into I think it was 10 or 12 computers, the computers decided who was to be ranked where. Part of this information was strength of schedule, this was based on a team's opponents, their win loses record, and the opponent's opponents win lose record. Strength of schedule is why LSU jumped USC and played Oklahoma for the title, with out strength of schedule USC played Oklahoma instead of Auburn. If remember correctly Oklahoma did not win their conference championship.

Winter fishing. Slower and Smaller??
Laggyman are you proficient in micro soft word? You could then do as I have done copy and paste the replies that best suit your style of fishing. The save them in your computer and copy to a disc for future use. First you might want to ask Glenn if it's ok.

Pre-fishing - good or bad
I can give you some insight it may not be what you want but it is proven a fact. Studies have proven that the plastic worm is the only lure made that a BASS CANNOT REMEMBER! That is, a bass will continue to strike a worm even after repeated catches, whereas a bass will "turn off" to other lures, spinner baits and crank baits etc. after wearing them out on them. That's why you cannot continue to catch them on your honey hole with the same lure over and over. Bass will stop eating that which will eradicate them. Not true with the plastic worm, however. Although we all know bass will prefer a different bait at different times (i.e. "the pattern") you can always go back to the worm to catch them.

Switching hands
If my memory is correct the dude that invented bait casting reels was left handed so he cast with his left reeled with his right.
