  1. One thing I have learned over the years is all bass don't do the same thing at the same time. The next thing I have learned is I can't fish the entire lake at the same time. Trying to predict the "bite" window is next to impossible! When a angler of Lee's level of experience on Lake Fork can't find the bite window I kinda doubt any of us will. We might think we're that good but the best we can hope for is to get close!

You have time to wrap wire around your hook shank but not enough time to file some lead off? Z-Man has jig head designed to fit there lures.
  3. A good friend who guides on Toledo Bend has a saying, the bass are always biting somewhere, it's our job to find somewhere!
  4. Since you brought up Lake Fork let's have a look at the winner. Lee Livesay commented yesterday he run 50-60 spots he knew & couldn't get bite. He said all the fish he caught yesterday & 2-3 from the day before were from a spot he had never in his career thought about fishing. Timing is second to location

I'll give you 3 guesses who paid, the first 2 doesn't count. The most difficult part of getting older is accepting the fact you can't do the things you use to! @A-Jay one thing I really miss is being able to run. Even into my 40s I played on a flag football team. The last 15 years I just watch ?

I use the Pro BulletZ™ Ya might wanna look at the Texas Eye Jigheads. They have a swinging head design. Z-man's website offers a large selection of jig heads.

After laughing & cutting up about I told em I had already had this discussion with myself a couple of times. The day in question I hadn't realized I had probably walked a 1/4 mile down an oil rig road away from everyone.

That man should be alone. We have discussed many times on this site fishing alone or with someone. I have always said I don't care if I fish alone or with someone. This morning after church I had lunch with my wife, all 6 kids, 3 daughter-in-laws, a son-in-law, & all the grandkids. It ain't Father's Day so I suspected something was up! Well in light of my recent cardiac episode it has been determined that I can no longer fish alone. Apparently some dumb ass Cajun went bank fishing in a marsh alone less than 3 weeks after being released from the hospital. It was also determined that a little brown bottle is now part of my life. My grandson Aiden said I'm no longer allowed to wear camo shirts while fishing. Apparently that Coonass not only had on a camo shirt but it was marsh pattern. I am now to wear bright yellow or purple LSU colors or reds! The joy's of getting old!
  9. Missed ya! Praying for you & your girls!
  10. As for me & my family we thank God for our military daily!
  11. My personal opinion, chunk the black lights. Black light focuses your attention the direction they're shining. The bass ain't always that direction. Plus you don't see what going on around you.
  12. Diawia Tatula or Falcon Lowrider
  13. Which is why I never ever loosen my drag! After cleaning my reels I tighten the drag & never touch it again.
  14. Meanwhile in Southwest Louisiana!

  16. About how long does it take for a spot to heat back up? Bout 5 minutes after I leave!
  17. I don't care! Whatever it is ?
  18. I throw buzzbaits on a 5.0:1 gear ratio. Had bass break plastic blades.
  19. When neccessary I do have a Doctoral degree in pinning worms together with a hook!
  20. Totally misunderstanding I buy a sack of worms knowing full well I'm gonna lose every single one. Hard baits I understand the odds are extremely high I'll hang it & lose it. It's the cost of fishing & I accepted that

  22. I remember gas well under $1 a gallon, my budget was $10 for the boat & truck. Improvise, adapt and overcome! I could go back to 9.8 Merc no problem!
  23. Exactly ? What did I say earlier, if it catches one bass it did it's job. I'm not here just to fish, I'm here for your fish!
  24. I'm buying brisket cheaper the ground beef!
