Anyone Have A Yildiz O/u?
Looking for some feedback on this gun. Academy sells them and I'm just looking for an inexpensive O/U. Thanks

Disapointment
It should have at least exited. I use to deer hunt with a .243 and I think I shot 80 grain soft points. One deer it would leave a pretty good crater and the next would barely have a entry wound.

Shimano Curado And Chronarchs On Sale On Tw???
Yes, everywhere has them on sale. Edit: I believe those particular models are (200E, etc), but the actual curado/chronarch will still be made, just "re-tooled" from what everyone on here has said.

Don't Let Cheap Tackle Let You Down
Crappie fishing is where the benefit is at. I use jigs that will straighten the hook to come free of a snag. It's alot easier to stay on the spot and reshape the hook (takes a few seconds with pliers) than bounce around the boat to get another hook, float, bobber stopper, bead, etc, and re-tie. I would not however use these for bass.

Tennessee Clubs?
http://www.tnbass.com/clubs/?reg=2 Here's a link that will help you search through the clubs in middle TN. If the info button doesn't work on them, just google them and you should pull up their website.

Flood
Kentucky Lake is at ~ 371 ft. right now, which is two feet higher than last year. Everything on the Cumberland for the most part is fine. Dover, TN is not in good shape. They are predicting it be be at least two feet higher than last year. As of right now, where I live (Clarksville) and Nashville are alright. The river did get out last week and it made for some decent bowfishing for a day or so. We are expected to get at least two more inches of rain today and tomorrow, on top of the 2.5 inches yesterday. The Cumberland will get out of its banks here again in the next few days.

You're Invited to the 6th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
It looks like Saturday is the only day I can fish. I have some things to take care of Sunday that really need to be done. I might be able to get that stuff done late Saturday night/early Sunday morning and make it back up to fish until dark but don't know yet. As for next week, one of my co-workers is off the whole week, and it would put strain on the rest of the dept. if I was to miss a day or two. I should see some of ya'll Saturday afternoon when I drop those rods off. Give me a shout Saturday during the day and I'll let you know if we are catching any. I'll send you a PM.

CJ, I got your rod and bringing it up Saturday. I'll PM you the price and phone # to meet up Saturday. I'll be in Johnathan creek all day. I really don't feel like battling that wind again on the LBL side. CWB, the only pattern I found last weekend was dragging a carolina rigged lizard on main points with chunk rock. Anything else I couldn't get bit.

Dale Hollow Lake
I would say you really need to ask the guide what you need to bring. If searched some of the guides websites and believe most will provide all tackle needed, but you will most likely want to take some jigs.

when do you put your winch strap on
Always while in the water. I've heard of people just riding it on the trailer and pulling out, but I don't want to be that person waiting on a tow truck because my boat is sitting on the ramp.

Football jig?
Yes. I've been using the 1/4 oz. finesse football jig from strike king with success around rip rap.

Broken jerkbait, what to do?
I've read on other sites a couple people have been having issues with either the bill breaking off, or too many weights in the bait and it sink like a rock.

suggest some Falcon lowrider rods !!
AOY would work for pitching, spinnerbaits, shallow/med. cranking, and lipless cranks. Deep cranking- LFC-4-176 What I use for spinnerbaits and topwater is the 5-167. What I use for the lipless crankbaits is 5-17. I've had no problems throwing either a spro frog or rage tail frog on my LFC-7-17. I don't throw hollow body swimbaits to suggest anything on them.

At least it wasn't a megabass vision. I've been reading that a lot of people are having problems with them. So far so good on the one I have.

Trout infested bass water!
Northern strain LMB are not wired to eat large bait fish like FLMB are. You need to down size to a 6" rainbow trout Huddleston for example. Google Huddleston Delux and look at the Butch Brown video's for rigging and presentations. You may get lucky and catch a big bass during this upcoming pre spawn; if you spend several days on the water, sun up to sun down and work deep break line. Tom PS; check your regs before trying live trout for bait, it's illegal in most states. I checked the PA regs and as long the person stays within creel and size limits gamefish can be used. This is what I found, To use gamefish as bait except when taken by rod and reel or handline in conformance with seasons, sizes and creel limits or when purchased from an authorized bait dealer. http://fishandboat.com/fishpub/summary/violations.html Edit: This was under the unlawful acts section, but what it's saying is you can't use gamefish unless you actually caught them or bought them from an authorized dealer. Here's the part that says you can use game fish. http://fishandboat.com/fishpub/summary/bait.html

Trout infested bass water!
I was thinking live trout. I know there's some guys here and in KY that use stocker trout for big stripers.

Kentucky Lake Hawg! 3/6
I tend to try and not fish that cold muddy water. If I have to though I usually go shallow. I could tell the river was pretty muddy, but the marina wasn't too bad. The two fish I caught were in less than 5 ft of water and I had three more bites in less than 6. I haven't even considered Barkley after that rain we had. If I had to fish really muddy water I would go shallow, preferably in a creek.

Kentucky Lake Hawg! 3/6
I watched an aluminum flat bottom head out, and as soon as he took off his wife or gf start screaming. He came back 5 minutes later and put the boat on the trailer. He must have ticked her off.

Kentucky Lake Hawg! 3/6
I couldn't make it out of paris landing marina. If it was 80 degrees out I wouldn't have minded getting wet, but like you said it was rough out there. Those waves on the river were every bit of 4 ft.
