  1. ill be honest..... i didnt read all the responses to this one, but i do have two words for you....... RAGE TOAD...... they are amazing and hold up well too.......(i mean they are soft plastic, so their gonna take a beating....but they'll stand up to more than a few fish before they kick the bucket..)
  2. im about to place my order this friday and im completely amped!!!!!!! definetley purchasing a mattlures hard gill (among other things)....but im torn on colors......(floating model) male bluegill......or red ear sunfish.... honestly, they all look so amazing im sure it wont matter...but thats the dilemma im in.... what are your thoughts............... i will go with the consensus!!!!!
  3. I HATE SNAKES!!!!!!!!!! good pic though, eh.
  4. ohhhhhh man....... you dont know how bad i want to pull a rage toad through there right now!!!
  5. you picked the right place to look around.... good to have ya!!
  6. great pic.... good to see that she likes to fish.... maybe if she lands a 7 pounder her prize could be a mattlures hard gill
  7. ya once when i was younger i tried to target them..... in the neighborhood where i lived, every time they cut the grass huge floating piles of it would attract the carp.... they always just feeded on the floating grass, so my buddies and i decided to put a small hook loosely into half a slice of bread (so it would float in the grass clippings) and we hooked up with quite a few that way.... it was fun as a kid, and the large ones put up a good fight for about 30 seconds or so.....but then they just kinda die off and get really sluggish.. their a pretty weak fish for the size they can attain.
  8. never heard of it........ just get one of those freeze away kits..... they work. (their usually like 16 bucks though)
  9. agggghhhhhh!!!!!!! im ticked off for you........ I HATE the whole mind reading crap!!!!! tell me whats up, and dont say "oh you should know what you did".... women........ :-/
  10. looks good....!! ive been wrestling around with tatoo designs myself for about 4 yrs..... still havent thought of the exact details i want in it..... its a tough choice, that needs to be thought out for quite some time.... i say keep the pic and look at it for about a month.... if you still like it after that much time...... DO IT!!! i cant wait to get mine....but then again... i have to.
  11. nice snook my man....... good to hear their gettin active!
  12. good fish....sounds like a blast.... gotta love it here in florida!!
  13. 4lbs is huge for a first bass!!!!! way to start it off right.... congratulations to you and your son!
  14. id have to try it......
  15. ya....snook nook was my hometown tackle shop, along with finest kind... some of the boats are still there, as of the last time i was at my parents house... my parents house is literally 3 min from snooknook... crazy to hear of someone who knows of the area so well..!! and..ya...it is a great shop, ive also caught some monster trout in the river right behind it when i was in high school.
  16. yes laird is.... he is a legend in big wave surfing. and as for riding giants.... amazing. i have surfed my whole life, and the largest i have dropped in on might have been foot or two over head (nasty chop on a hurricane swell)... seriosly, the size of the beasts that some crazy fools ride is just mind boggling my hats off to big wave surfers..... ive had the crap rattled loose out of me from 7 ft waves, but the epic monsters they ride are just deathwishes!!!!
  17. i haven't tried that one... but im amped on swimbaits now myself...i just purchased my first one no less than a week ago (panther martin vivif hard head, it was only 7.99 so it was a good "starter") on my first outing with it (yesterday) i caught a 7.5 and a 9.1 lb lmb... needless to say, im hooked and now am going to purchase some "nicer" swimbaits!!!!
  18. i always try to throw back to the same spot... i rarely succeed with this, but on the rare occasion... it works out! so all i can say is, it never hurts to try it.... the worst that can happen is that you lose it again, not the end of the world.
  19. always good for a laugh guys.. ;D 1. i am quite hairy 2. i do somewhat agree with fourbizz But..... i was raised in a small beach town here in florida (jensen beach). I've surfed and fished my whole life, and was raised up a total beach bum. in my town, shirts were always optional... so ive never been a fan of shirts if i dont have to wear them..... so ill continue on my beachbum behavior, and hopefully everyone can just focus on the fish (its hard not to be distracted by my hairiness) thanx for the fish compliments guys.. teenwolf.....that was awesome!!! my gf calls me all sorts of names, but she'll love that one.... im sure to hear a lot more of it. ;D ;D
  20. i thought it was pretty ridiculous as well, but then again.... i do recall the post by low budget hooker on the big baits small fish.... i guess that qualifies!!!
  21. horrible.... i hate'em once saw one on the back of a door handle to my high school gym's storage room......don't know why i looked first, but sure glad i did.... i've been worried about them ever since!
  22. once in high school i mounted a 7.4 lb bass.... i would never do that now. im all about catch and release.. i made a personal pact to myself that the only fish i would ever consider mounting again would have to be over 13lbs... although i doubt i would....a few pics are more than enough.. as for pics of my mount....let me find some, or take some for that matter, and i'll post'em for ya....
  23. ya, just go for the consensus..... original bags... ive got some charlie's worms that are over 11 years old, and still fish them.... they have held up fine, and stayed nice and juicy..
  24. and i think all will agree, we'd love to see them.... good to have you on board.... i as well fish the salt and fresh, good to have another that does the same. (guess were lucky, not all have access to the ocean....)
  25. good fish for the great uncle! those are some good shots of the wildlife, i love seeing them. sure dont encounter those here in florida though... most ive seen while fishing are a bunch of gators and the occasional bobcat.
