well once again, my secret "lunker lake" has produced another bass of good size... at this point i have honestly lost count of the number of 5 lb + bass i have caught from here.... either way, caught this beauty of a 7 lb'er just before the rain and lightning hit.... she made my day.

ya......agreed. great to catch'em on the first trip with new equipment... the fish look nice and healthy as well... good job man!!

ya its a good bait.... ive got the shiney baby bass paint job on mine, and its held up just fine (the newer red hooked model).

honestly.... i havent seen the benjamin button movie and likely never will.....so i cant comment on it........ ...but the saddest i can recall was " i am sam " with sean penn... seriously...don't watch it unless you feel the need to be depressed for the rest of the day ( and possibly the next )

Ok....so i know a bunch of you re-color your old braid with a marker or felt pen..... My braid is getting a little old at this point and i was thinking of trying this out, but....... markers smell nasty......!!!!!! for those of you who do it.....do you think the fish care about the smell...or does the smell wear off in a short period of time?? honestly....i dont use a leader in fresh water (just straight braid)..and the visibility of the line doesn't seem to matter to the fish at all...i catch as many now as i did before..... but the piece of mind, and confidence issue is coming into play....i want the braid to be a nice dark green again, so i feel better about it!! but i am not gonna be very confident at all if my line always stinks like a sharpie!!! what are your thoughts....
