  1. thanx grimlin for actually trying it before you bashed it!!!! and it sounds as if you were indeed as surprised as i was....its pretty darn tasty!!
  2. sweet, cheap, and still has a little alcohol....Boone's farm!!! wow, i would never drink it now .... and only did in the past bc well, at the time i did have it ....i was well, in middle school.... now that i have a choice in what i drink, well its anything but wine to say the least.. and the franzia pic is freakn' great!!! (my old roommate use to inhale that crap as well)
  3. no matter what the fish is.........to be a record holder for it is simply awesome!!!!
  4. mainly, what size fuego do you own...... braid gets pricey to say the least...... i would say personally use a 12lb equivelant, minimum... i made the switch to braid a few months back myself....i use a saros 3000......it holds 140 yds of 10# line.....so i went with 40# suffix braid (it has the 10# dia. equivelant).....so i can roughly hold 140 yds of this stuff...it works great, a little overkill in my mind for the bass i catch, but then again...i fish the salt with it as well!! *note, i have had probs in the past with smaller dia. braids digging into itself on the spool.....the larger braid along with an extremely tight spooling of it solved the problem..
  5. i use a mono leader on braid when i fish the salt...(fresh i stick with straight braid) i normally use about 6ft of leader... tied to braid with an improved albright knot... hasn't failed yet i might add.
  6. i purchased some as well bc they were on sale...... ive landed quite a few fish on them too.....and ive never had the problems you mention....... needless to say, i'll be keeping an eye on mine now sorry to hear though..
  7. i throw'em year round........i do frequent other topwater options more though, but the buzzbait is definately a staple of mine...... as for watertemps.....i usually dont pay much attention (maybe i should, but its never been a problem for me so far!!) ....then again, im in central florida, and the weather is far different around these parts
  8. i need to fish with you my man....... a jack of that size would easily be one of the best fights of my life!!! and, uh, 35# snook......oh, yea!!! my hats off to you sir!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. ya gotta love the great outdoors..... great pic as well my friend!!
  10. great fish and pics........!!! wish i was catching fish of that magnitude lately :'(
  11. looks like a good day to me man..... plus you gotta love catching fish on the "last cast".......always makes having to leave a little easier!!
  12. i agree with both previous responses...... anything that hits the water is fair game for a bass, if they can fit it in their mouth.....they will eat it!!! (and ive seen pics of them getting more than greedy as well)..... also, as stated in a previous response......bass will most definetly thrive on small and weaker bass!!
  13. ......just a thought..... you said you saw multiple other people fishing there as well......did you see any of them catching any fish??? if there are lots of people fishing the same area, and no one is producing...my advice would be to find a new location..... if they are catching fish, then simply ask them what their using, and their method.......most fisherman are willing to let a few tips out!
  14. ....i completely agree......personally i love the fight....i use the lightest drag possible and let'em run.......its much more enjoyable for me that way!!!
  15. i second the avg.....it works great and its all that i use, i also use spybot search and destroy in conjunction with it (its also free)
  16. great news........you'll never be disappointed with a shimano.......hands down the highest quality reels i have ever used!!!!
  17. yea for sure, im pretty much addicted to 104.1, i listen every chance i get and definetly love the monsters.......its a toss up of who i like the best though.....monsters or shannon burke.....
  18. there's great people in here to say the least..... and its always nice to have another.. good to cya around!!
  19. let me know what you think....... im positive you'll be just as amazed as i was, man its good!! the flavor combination is remarkable, and yet the thought of it seems plain crazy.....go figure..
  20. its called a "chapple burger".....started by a couple of guys in orlando....i heard it on the local talk radio (SBK Live).......they raved about it for hours, so i had to try it..... go to mcdonalds.... buy one double cheeseburger, and one apple pie... open the double cheese at the patties and then put in the largest piece of the apple pie that will fit (you'll have to break a small section off)... put it all back together, and mash the apple pie in there nicely....and BAM... "chapple burger"..... don't knock it till you try it.........its completely awesome, i would have never thought it, but ...... wow!! ill never eat a double cheese the same way again!!!
  21. definetely haven't seen it on the tv yet, but totally great none the less!!!
  22. just found this thread........ that thing looks awesome!!!! wish i had some of those lurking around my local spots!!!!!
  23. good to have ya on board, eh!!!
  24. "independent contractors," eh??? well, either way ...... we all love strippers!!!, (or at least lots of us do, some may disapprove )
  25. i saw the same episode, and thought the same thing myself...... who uses that junk, for real?? i don't know of anyone but beginners that consider a spincast a legitimate gear setup.
