  1. i just recently recieved 2 BBZ's from TW (among many other things).... but i was thinking originally about the trutungsten's as well, so i did some searches and read all the reviews i could find..... a common problem that kept coming up was that the TT's pin was getting loose and falling out!!!!! .....not what i want!!!!!!!!!! go with the spro, if these are the only two your deciding between..... if your open to other options, there are some other great baits around.
  2. sounds like you've got a great spot for nightfall. ..... i haven't been out past sundown in years, and you've just piqued my interest....... i'll have to give it a shot soon!
  3. some great bass you got there!!!!!!!! .....way to make'em count!
  4. nice fish man ;D ....you can also post pics by directly attaching them as well from your computer.
  5. nice touch. it looks amazing. i own a ford as well, but not one worth spending more money on (ranger)....
  6. nice one my man........ good to hear you were able to remove "the previous attempt" from her. and your estimate seems about right to the pic as well.
  7. not sure about your neck of the woods on this one, as most all state differ.... but here in fl, i use live bluegill at times.... so long as they were caught hook and line, they are ok for bait.
  8. ahhhh. good old treasure coast, that where i grew up in (jensen beach)... catching tons of snook, it was great. and sirsnook, we may differ on this, but i would consider 3-4 snook a morning to be a great day!!!! glad your having some good catching, eh..... its been quite some time since i battled a snook :-/
  9. agreed...... haven't had one slip, or a break with the palomer on my 40lb suffix since i spooled up.
  10. great fish!!!! .... the topwater bite is by far my favorite....... you gotta love the excitement of it ;D ;D ;D
  11. surprised to hear the weight.... from the pic i would guestimate around 9 myself, and as we all know ..... pics are mighty deceiving at times either way, great fish..... and the circle hooks take some time to get used to..... i made the switch about 6 months ago myself, and the "need" to set the hook still lingers!!!
  12. agreed once again.... i cant tell you how many times i have had a bass crush a lure the absolute second that it touches the water!! i fish from shore all the time.... i mainly hit the spots that "look" the most appealing first with a few casts, and move along quickly. After i have had my attempt at this, i normally stick to one general area and try a few lures to see what their interested in. Once i have found something productive, i normally stick with it while walking again....until then bite slows...... then once again, more lure changes, and more walking...
  13. ohhhh my gosh dominion...... that has to be the worst thing i have ever seen.......
  14. now we have the real bait monkey talkin' !!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  15. good to hear....... you got the fire started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now keep up the good catching my pal ;D ;D ;D
  16. far from talented to say the least!!!!!!!!!!!!! but, i will say that i do enjoy the rocky movies as well........ (seriously, i even love bloodsport, and that movie is crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
  17. its good to hear that its happened to all of us (and not so good at the same time)..... as it was the first time for me, it hit me kinda hard. thanks for the condolences.
  18. another congrats here.........but, your gonna have your hands full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. ohhhh man........... i want some bbq so bad now, thanx RW!!!!!!!!!!! i may just have to resort to sonny's (albeit, reluctantly.)
  20. morning is always good, but ive caught'em all day nonetheless.... sandflees are always a good option as well for bait. good luck to ya. and the guys at BPS should be able to give ya some advice if you end up there.
  21. im with you,,, i just dont get it........ i know that bass love these things, yet i hardly throw them..... i only own one jig as of now, and really dont give it a chance..... i probably should
  22. stinkin' monkey........ i love to hate that little guy
  23. cut bait is easy...... you need a rod holder for the surf, simply a piece of pvc with an angle cut at one end.... next you'll need the bait rig. Its all wire. (sorry i dont have a pic, but i'll try to explain).. there is one main wire that is connected to your main line that at one end has a large sinker... and the other end connects to your working line,... it has a secondary wire coming off of it perpendicularly... and the secondary wire that can freely move up and down along the main piece. off of that secondary wire there will be a snap (and some have the hooks already attached). just rigg your shrimp or cut bait off of that. tie the rig to the main line as normal. try to cast it as far out past the breakers as possible. you will likely end up catching many sailcats before something good comes along (carefull with them bc the fin spines sting like a wasp).... you've just gotta sit back and let something happen, but your on the beach so its quite nice... i recommend live shrimp..... if using large cut bait, you will likely hook into sharks.... which is compleltely awesome!!! just make sure your tackle can handle it..... if you want to get more detailed i can try to explain how to balloon fish the trough for ya.
  24. ahhh!!! thats great. nice one.
  25. tell me what exactly your working with...... cut bait, live, and how big is the surf expected to be? i'll get back as soon as i can.
