J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
Man I hope so. Key word being hope. Short of Miami finding a QB that knows what color shirt he's wearing during the week, I'm not going to expect much out of them this week.

What's the best fluke style bait?
Lots of companies make a fluke style bait. Almost all of them will catch fish. Zoom flukes are always a fish catcher. The Gambler fluke works just as well. If you want to try something a little different, the Lake Fork Magic Shad is just plain great to fish. My only complaint about them is that they're not the most durable bait in the world. They do catch fish though. Weightless, a scrounger type head, or a weighted swimbait hook. Works almost anyway you want to fish it.

FINALLY!!!
I rarely get to go out there now. Last time I went was with Robert earlier this year. When I go with my father or uncle, I'll rent a boat out at Roland's. Next year once I pay off my car I'll be buying a larger freshwater boat, then I'll be spending a lot of time out there. My saltwater boat just won't work out on the lake. It's far too big and far too noisy. It hurts knowing that I can be in Clewiston in roughly an hour. Straight shot up US 27 and I'm there. Never hurts to listen to whats happening out on the lake though.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a pretty nasty free kick also. It'll go up over the wall and just drop down like nothing else. While doing that, the ball will float left and right in air. Called a knuckler or knuckleball. Basically you're hitting it directly in the center of the ball causing very little spin to happen. It's just silly how much it moves.

Is the site slow for anyone else?
I've been getting it once in a while over the last couple of days. Usually it goes away a few moments later. Like Rhino, I've had a thread try to load and it just stopped. Hit the back button and tried again and it was fine.

Peacock in Central Palm Beach County. There coming back
I'm sure there will be more of them up there eventually. I'm honestly surprised you haven't found them already. Peacocks breed and grow relatively quickly. Shouldn't take long before they start making their way north again. We'll see what this cold snap does though. I had water temps in the low 70's yesterday, probably going to be in the high 60's today. Once it hits that 60 degree mark things get ugly for the Peacocks.

Oooh....low.

check out this sick goal
Hell of a free kick. Looks like something you used to see Roberto Carlos try. Grimlin: Messi is one of the best in the world right now. He's not going to hit a free kick from distance like that though. Roberto Carlos in 97 vs. France

Almost too close. I'd love to have a little more of a yard. I'm sure as hell not complaining though.

Gene Larew Salt Craw
Fairly high. Did the same thing last night with one texas rigged on a 3/8 tungsten sinker. As much as I love using the Rage Tail line of craws, I have caught so many fish this year on plastic crawfish that have smaller pincers on them. The Yamamoto Fat Baby Craw has been my favorite trailer this year. Using that trailer sure as hell helped me get a lot of confidence in jigs. Figured I might as well try these things out and see what happens. They're an oldie but a goodie.

FINALLY!!!
Frogs, skinny dippers, beavers. Theres tons of stuff that will work on Okeechobee. With those though you can and will catch fish.

I walked outside with the kids to take them to school and felt like I was going to die. Holy crap is it ever cold. Now I know what a frozen pork chop feels like....

Have fun. Wish I could head out tomorrow. Hope the wind dies down a little so you aren't getting beaten to death.

Eagle Claw Hooks
Yes and no. Owner cutting point hooks penetrate a little easier. The drawback is that they cut a larger hole in the fishes mouth. Gamakatsu's conical point takes a little more effort to penetrate, but they leave a smaller hole. Personally, I like Owner's a little more.

Eagle Claw Hooks
Trokars are great hooks...until the point rolls on you after a fish or two.... I'll stick with using primarily Owner and some Gamakatsu hooks.

Potential World Record Tuna
Probably anywhere from 75 to 100 grand. Give or take a few thousand. Big tuna are worth big...big bucks.
-
Didn't have a scale. Anyone guess how big?
Three and a half to four pounds. Purdy lookin fish.

Wait a second, Mike. So you're saying that I can blame you for this cold weather? d**n you! I'm freezing my butt off right now. Actually had to turn the heater on.- The new flagship Lamborghini LP700-4 is coming. :)
Oooh. Eric likey. I want one.- Help me make up my mind.
x5 Big difference. Crucials are a fantastic rod for the money. I've got a bunch of them and haven't had a complaint. Shimano just needs to finally put an open ended hook keeper on their rods. - Lox - Oct 30th 2010
