Didn't see much of a problem down here in my area. The peacocks took a heck of a hit north of Broward. Tarpon and Snook have recovered from what I've seen. No idea about Tilapia. Never had a reason to go looking for them.

Those are some beastly lookin smallies. One of these days I need to make a trip up north to do some fishing. Great fish, Native. Aside from the cold, this is my favorite time of the year to fish. Always catch my best fish of the year around this time.

no way man. i could not handle that kind of cold. i am wearing thermal underwear today and it is 50. that is insane cold. come on down here jfranco and lets catch 'em up. All I can say is: F that.

Hopefully the wind will die down at least. I can deal with the cold. Just dress appropriately. It's the freakin 20mph winds right now that just suck. I've gotta drop an anchor just to hold my Jon in place right now.

Even though both teams are really down on the totem pole right now: Miami vs. Notre Dame is a really intriguing game. An old rivalry renewed. I'm actually interested in watching the BCS title game this year. That should be really fun to watch.

I had a friend that had a very bad low blow sugar crash. That was some scary stuff. I'd hate to think of what could happen to somebody that was driving in that situation.

Being cold didn't stop me from going out for a little bit this morning. Had a fantastic topwater bite from about sunup until 8:30 or so. Spook Jr. for the win! Not looking forward to the supposed 30's in the next day or so though...

It's cold. It isn't supposed to be this cold in southern Florida. Somebody make this junk go away! The bad part is that it's supposed to get colder....

False. Kinda gotta agree with Dan here. Those two are pretty darn good to use.

They are I'm not hurling anything big. Mostly paddletails and a few smaller hard swimbaits. Eventually when I buy a rod capable of throwing larger baits I'll be using 20-30 probably.

Hrmm choices... I've gotta decide. Since I primarily only use five rods on a trip (boat space); each has to serve more than one purpose. #1 Flipping/Frog #2 Texas rig/Jig #3 Swimbait/Flipping #4 Cranking #5 Spinning Have 12# Hybrid on rod #3 and that certainly isn't coming off. I've been very happy with it on there. It's rod #2 right now that I've got the problem with. Braid with a leader may end up being the best choice for that rod in the long run. At least I'll have plenty of leader material to use if I do swap it back over....
