The OG Zillion is one of my favorite reels of all time. All of mine are still in use. Now is a good time to buy some of the used Limited Edition models at a good price, while they are still in great condition.

Another vote for the War Eagle Mike McClelland Finesse spinnerbait.

I had to dispose of a mouse for a hysterical neighbor several years ago. She'd caught the mouse on one of those sticky traps....inside her car. So it definitely does happen, this was in the winter time also.

Check out "I Love Hard Baits" on Ebay. They sale Lucky Craft exclusively and have a lot of stuff that isn't readily available. They might still have 0.5's but also check out the Clutch, the Fat Mini and the 0.7 in the LC Series of cranks. They might have something else that I'm not thinking about too.

I wouldn't use a loop knot with braid and a hard bait with treble hooks. You'll spend more time untangling hooks than fishing. Use a short mono leader or a palomar knot. You might still run into some fouling problems with a direct tie.

I've noticed this as well. If you want max drag you should run them dry.

Any of you Wiggle Wart guys fish or have any luck with the Spro RK Crawler? I bought a few but haven't used them yet.

Actually, the Powell uses a proprietary split seat, similar to the SK2 and the Tatula uses that Daiwa seat similar to the Zillion and Steez. The Tatula XT does use the ACS.

I wish they would have trimmed some of the threads on the reel seats.

I've always assumed they were the same. I have a ton of both and haven't noticed a difference in performance. I definitely wouldn't pay $30 a piece for RC's. They closed them out for like $6 IIRC.

For size comparison. The picture doesn't do the paint job justice, it's beautiful.

I've been trying to decide what new reel I wanted to buy, I came across this J-Dream and the price was right, easy decision. I posted a front on pic in the "show your stuff" thread. It has one little scratch on it. I'm a bit of a sucker for balsa too, figured I should probably add a Z Crank to the collection.

Ichiban had another one in "excellent" condition when I bought this one. It didn't have a box but it was under $250.
