I asked her that basically: 1) If someone has a sniping program, your automatic max bid means nothing, and 2) if you think the auction might be sniped, do not be the highest bidder near the end of the auction. She said yup. She also said the "snipers" tend to pay within seconds of the auction end, so the seller does not have chance to hit the second chance button. :-X

I've sniped and won and it is within the rules so seems fair to me. I had never heard of sniping I just figured I was being "creative". I've got one little " extra " twist that I use that seems to work for me but like Cart / Carp said I'm keeping that to myself. I've only bought about 4 things so I'm no major threat. E-bay should allow a solid bid tool. You can bid whatever price you want and don't need to go in increments. That would take care of the problem. Both sellers and E-bay would benefit I'm surprised they haven't thought of it. They could also lock the incoming bids and let the automatics play out in overtime to solve the problem.

I nailed a couple of plywood strips to the bottom of the joists in the garage ceiling rafters. I spaced them out to allow the handles to sit on one end but close enough together to offer plenty of support on the other end.

KB he can have the best of both worlds. BPS sells a Shimano Citica coupled with a BPS Extreme rod. Maybe the best value combo that there is. The Citica is probably the best BC value for the money of almost any rbrand out there. 2008 BPS catalog shows $169.99 everyday price.

Thanks LBH I'll give that suggestion some more effort next time. Usualy this time of year I'm just glad to have open water and be outside, the fish are almost and afterthought!

Just courious what it was like there. I stopped there once while on a service call. I thought it looked very peaceful there. I always wanted to rent a small housboat for a couple of days and just float around and fish while the kids got some sun tans. I also know believe it or not one person from Corydon and one from some small town near Corydon Centerville I think it was.

After ice out will you go fish ight away or will you wait for it to warm up? Or will you go for cabin fever and not expect to catch much? I ask because in the very cold water I go but it seems extremely tough to catch much until the water warms some. I'll go anyway full well knowing I probably won't catch anything. I know I know fish slow! been there done that. Just curious how others approach the late winter / early spring

I'm not sure where that saying comes from I think I heard my mother say it on occasion ( mainly to my brothers lol). Maybe it is patties as in patty cake? I don't know.
