i have a pair of jims and revos but find them to nice to take fishing... when im spending 200-300 bucks they arent coming with me... i have a pair of oakley half jackets i saw at cabelas on sale for $90 and love them for fishing and golfing.

i use trilene xl for spinning gear and stren original for my baitcasters...

my buddy has a code red and he likes it very much... do that and an amp rod and you should be set. the amp rod is a great deal for $30.

i am under the impression that chaos isnt currently making rods for anyone...?

I would go with one quality reel vs two ok reels... Pflueger Patriarch MSRP: $200. Ebay NIB price: $136 shipped.

Out of these two rods i would go with the IMX as i have them both. The Legend Elite is a better price comparison to the IMX and i would go with it over both.

if you pay for the rods to be shipped to your house, you get a nice rod tube they normally sell for $30 and you get the nylon rod covers which i have never gotten when i bought them in store... btw the cabelas rods are very sweet. they are worth the price even when they arent on sale.

good deal. looks kinda big for bluegills and stuff(maybe its just the picture)... more like a bass reel especially with rear drag. def a good deal tho.

ive only played with the helium in the store. seemed nice but ill stick with my zillion. cant go wrong with either as its all personal opinion. glx is great but right now my pockets arent deep enough. lets see how the economy looks next spring.

its personal opinion mate. i dont think you will be dissatisfied with either as they are both top notch rods. i have never heard anyone say anything negative about the GLX, which is what i will be upgrading to from the IMX when stocks start to go back up lol. if the steez is anything like the zillion you will be happy. why dont you give us a rundown of the steez after you fish it.

hey let me know what you think of that rod... i wanted to get one a while back and even made a post to see how they are and no one had any experience.... they look great and at a decent price.

let me know when you find out... i want a steez badly but dont know if i should since i have more than enough fishing gear.

i looked at those the other day and liked them a lot.... u must have deeper pockets than me.

i love it for my spinning rigs... for baitcasters ill stick with my yo-zuri hybrid tho.

one thing you can do which seemed to help me a lot... next time you spool up, put maybe 25 yards or so of mono tie it to the braid and then fill the rest up with braid. dunno why, but it works.
