finesse and flouro, your input
On my spinning gear I use 6 or 8# for baitcasting I use 8 or 10# this is just my preference.Flouro can loop off of spinning gear so a line conditioner helps

Blacknose Shiner
looks great, very natural. Oh yeah and The lateral line looks great free-handed,I don't paint baits but It would look like an earthquake seismograph if I did.Any way real fish don't have perfect features so if things seem off when making a bait,I think it makes it all the more natural.

A rant about the new electronic units.
Very valid points,I say let Lowrance and Hummingbird know what will solve the issues. If I run a company I would like to know if something could fail in a product.Who knows, maybe the will take your input and use it on a unit.Perhaps even give you free product or discounts on a unit.

Nitro NX 750 help!
I went on the NADA site and that boat has the high end price $5250 with a 75hp motor so the 90hp will be only a little more also if its dual console that will add as well.I hope this helps you.

Fluorocarbon leader????
Yes i use flouro leaders with braid on occassion.Flouro has little stretch but braid has less.I use about an 18-24"flouro leader when fishing clear water so i get the low stretch of braid and the invisibility of flouro.not sure if the invisibility is truly necessary but I feel better using it.As far as tying I use a uni to uni knot. You can see it tied on youtube. The knot passes easily through the rod guides if tied correctly.

Line for Crankbait
Flouro is a good idea for cranks because it sinks,so to get an extra inch or more on a diver its good.It does have some stretch but not like mono but i've learned from others on here that the stretch may keep the bait from coming out of a fishes mouth when he takes it,but the rod flex keeps 'em buttoned on.Braid from my experience likes to wrap around the hooks of a crank, and it floats,i prefer braid for single hook point applications, and mono or flouro for trebles.hope this helps.

Roboworms
I like aaron's magic, oxblood craw, and tequila sunrise. All three do well at Smith Mountain lake, which usually has some stain where I fish it.And as far as how to decide on color, use more natural colors in very clear water, use darker colors(even with flakes)in stained water.Use vivid colors in really stained water or when fishing bedded bass if you wanna see the strike. This is how I approach it.hope this helps.

The hardest part about bass fishing is.........
saying no to the baitmonkey. ;D

REDSKINS SUPERBOWL 45 CHAMPS!!!
If they can strengthen the O-line Jason Cambell will have a chance.Right now opposing defenses are getting ti him before the snap does.So I'm not gonna say keep him but a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning would have trouble surviving, let alone completing passes with this O-line.Of course I also am not saying he's as good as they are.

Ikes ganna be an abu guy!!
All of these big name reel companies have nice products and I bet he will have some input on product development.Maybe we could even see a magnesium Revo thats around 5 oz.on an even lighter vendetta. Or better yet he fishes $120-$180 combos and wins angler of the year.Either way he'll certainly catch more big fish on his Abu's than I will,(but i hope to someday be able to get better at that anyway).heck i've not had alot of faith in Quantum but some guy named Kevin does pretty well with them.If I ever got to that level I'd see if i could get a custom Rhino rod and Zebco reel because I started out with them.

the popularity of bass resource
not sure about popularity, but I've learned more from this website than any other I have visited. The moderators here do an excellent job.The posters here seem very cordial and helpful to one another, and the things I wanna find I can easily find.So i guess there are alot of other bass fishers missing out ;D.I say best fishing website is Bass Resource

Braid size
haha yeah I have weedeater line on my spinning reel. It's great for flipping(because thats all that will fit)but I set the spool up so I could bump the head and it feeds out line.It also edges sidewalks well. ;D

Best time for swimbaits?
from January1 to Dec 31 but if they don't give off much vibration(most of these are sight baits)water clarity will come into play.

Fuse Panel
Does your boat already have a fishfinder? If it does You may be able to trace the wires you need to hook the new one up.The instructions from the new one should tell you the maximum fuse size(very important) to use and perhaps even the minimum wire size. If you cannot trace the wires then use a new fuse slot and tab to hook up the positive wire and and the grounding tabs to hookup the negative wire.Any tab will due as will any free slot.

screeching noise on my cardiff
While you're at it check the levelwind(ex.pawl and worm)that moves the line guide. If sand gets in there it can damage the line guiding to the spool.probably not the cause of the noise but you dont want a whole new noise down the road Good luck, good fishing,Merry Christmas

Hey guys, new here and not very savy of fishing gear with a few questions
The braid on spinning gear is fine. You may need to put some mono backing on the real first as braid tends to slip.If you buy a braided line make sure it is round because flat braid will dig into itself when you are reeling. Also since you saltwater fish I'm sur you know the importance of drag to getting a fish in.If you buy a braid that exceeds the reel rating ALWAYS know that your drag is set correctly.Even if you use a round braid a "too tight drag" will cause the braid to dig into itself or even worse if you set the hook on a log or something (that aint movin)You may damage your reel or even your rod. Also wind is no friend of braid,so when checking for frayed line also check for the line forming a loose loop on your spool or wrapping around the rod tip. I hated to ramble about this but I do use braid and I like it,these are just some of its negatives. You know it's positives. Good luck, good fishing,Merry Christmas
