  1. Your not missing out, it’s all around ya….. I’d fish it for a while and come back to it.
  2. It’s most frustrating when it’s your home waters. Fishing a new body of water, I can understand, just haven’t found we’re they are hiding. When it’s my home waters, I mean I’ve fished a certain cove countless times and always caught’em. Then nothing, dont know why or where they go. I try not to dwell on it too much, I mean catching fish is my primary objective. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the perks that come with it. The sun, the water, wild life and scenery.
  3. The cheaper or less expensive baits I have catch more than the real expensive ones. The reason ……. As @Pat Brown stated, I throw the cheaper baits in areas where the fish are, but not ideal for not getting them snagged. I don’t want to risk losing them, so I chuck the other in there. My Dad the exact opposite. He would say I bought it to catch fish or loose it. His theory was once you except that, every time you cast it. You’ve got a chance to loose, it don’t sting as bad. I never could.
  4. DAAAANG!! Great find. EBay is a great place to find gear if you “go on the hunt” as you say. At little over $3 bucks a piece, you can’t beat that.
  5. Dang, …. I learn something from BR all the time. In all my fishing days I’ve new used a red and white, except salt water. @Mike L do you replace them on all your hard baits or just the red/ white ones?
  6. A portion of the money from fishing licenses and boat registrations go to the FWC, (Florida Wildlife Conservation). How much of it, I’m not sure, depends on who you ask. During Covid I saw a big jump, in boaters and anglers. The upside, was I saw families out together, fishing or getting towed on tubes. Families eating sandwiches in the boat and their Moms telling the kids, “they can’t go back in the water for an hour”. Downside, a ton of inexperienced boaters, sometimes it was mayhem around here. I stayed away from the springs and other gathering places. Way too many people.
  7. Thanks @Crow Horse Are you having problems or is this preventative kind of thing? Just asking to see you’ll notice a difference. My friends that added them through the valve stem said it was a slow process, but it would be a pain to remove the tire and break the bead too. I addd mine when tires where installed. Keep us updated on the results please.
  8. Did ya take before and after pics?
  9. I think I could comprehend the Knowing Bass book, but not sure if I could the other. But back to the OP I’ve been looking at books too, might be laid up for a while. I’m collecting projects, reel rebuilding and books. so far list is next level bass fishing and targeting large bass. I’ll add the one you mentioned.
  10. Doe anybody know anything about Synthetic Molybdenum(metal powder grease) it is supposed to be for damaged gears.

I’ve got the one knockers too….. I don’t know why, but have gotten bites on them when the regular one or silent ones don’t.
  12. @Peacedivision, @MN Fisher I’ve never Q-tipped the eyes before. To clean or check for nicks and snags, thanks will be added to my maintenance routine. @Angler Andy , @bulldog1935 going to have to google “Boeshied” that’s a new one to me. This is about what I do now, but never sprayed the guides, another task to add to maintenance schedule. @looking45…. I searched “Liquid Gold” They have ,liquid gold skin moisturizer serum, liquid gold tanning oil, liquid gold perfume, duo travel pack, and Legendairy Milk Liquid Gold. There is a ton of them. Are you talking about Scott’s liquid gold furniture polish….haha Thanks everyone for your suggestions keep’em coming. G
  13. Hi from the Sunshine State of Florida, this is a great site. I think you’ll learn a lot, all though I think you already know a lot.
  14. Hey Everyone, What do you use to clean, your fishing rods? I use a little bit of dawn on a towel, wipe and rinse. Does anybody use anything different? All so, does anybody use any kind of protective spray or anything to wipe it down. Thanks
  15. Like you I’ve used them in vehicles, back in my Jeep days. Never thought about trailers, bet they would work, I don’t see why not. We used air soft Ammo, don’t remember the ratio. Keep us updated. I like balancing my trailer tires, not many people do.
  16. I picked up a BPS Prodigy combo. The older version …. Black and white, it was clearance. I really impressed w it’s it, keep it on deck now. Will let you know on how long it last.
  17. I do both slow and fast, sometimes over the same area. I have never tried them in cold weather, they work here all year. I like them in low light situations, morning and evening.
  18. I joke with myself while fishing, and oddly enough I laugh at my own jokes… maybe I shouldn’t say that out load….. anyway. I cast and say that spot is where the next world record is…On optimistic days ,it’s just a double digit. But you just never know where she’ll be hanging out .

The Tackle Warehouse sling pack has it so you can spin the pack around in front of you. The front compartment unzips and make a little work station. Hard to explain, if you watch the video on it, you see what I mean. The pack I have now I have to take off and set it on the ground, and dig for my stuff. I think I might be creating my own problems, when fishing some place new or haven’t fished often. I switch bait a lot, which make me think I need a ton of tackle.
  21. Something T-rigged…..worm, craw, creature, even toad or fluke. Anything weed less, I know if it were me, I’d be caught up in that grass.
  22. I’m almost like @FishTank. I unload my boat every trip….the boat stays out at the dock. I try and have a two trip rule. First trip down the dock I carry tackle and food/ water. Second trip carry rods and reels. It don’t go in the boat, if I have to make a third trip. You should see me on my first trip, soft side cooler on one shoulder, tackle bag on the other, worm bags in one hand. Terminal tackle box in the other hand. I look like one of those guys on Wide World of Sports, strongman competition carrying the heavy blocks….staggering down the dock to make it to the boat. The things we’ll do to fish.

My backpack tackle that I got at a goodwill or a thrift store, I don’t remember. I don’t like it… too blobbing, has no structure, I don’t know how to put it into words. keep us updated on how it working out. I’ve been looking at Tackle Warehouse’s sling pack.
