Incredible catch and release line class record caught on three different baits .
I find it funny that those that bust others chops or have are some of the same that photoshop their own pictures. We have had guys call others out for no distorted lense, only cause there was a green tree on the hill side in Oklahoma and some green rye grass in the back ground in Jan. So theres now way that bass was caught during that time frame. LOL So he's a liar.

Did you guys like the 3 day day draft?
Never watched or cared about the draft. I like to watch football, just not in April.

Ransomware
WE had this issue a few weeks ago, my sweetie renamed the files, this allowed her to delete them. Every time she tried, the system booted her until she renamed those files first. Then deleted them.

Punching Grass
Most Tx lakes, you don't have to punch grass until later in the summer. Why? During the spring, we get alot of rain and the lakes fillup, at the same time, grass is growing again and fast. Once the big cities takes a good drink from the lake in the summer due to people filling pools, gardens watering grass, washing cars, the levels drop and this mats the grass thicker on top as lake levels drop. Normally, I can get away with lighter weights at first, also, there are alot more holes to pitch to in early spring as opposed to when they get matted shut. The first technique I ever learned was tossing a one ounce pegged 10 inch power worm up in the air straight up and away from the boat, did I stress away from the boat, gravity will punch that mat for ya. I learned from that to get bigger weights too.

Unorthodox techniques?
If you go back and look at alot of Texas top 50 bass and alot of early SAL's, you will see a spinnerbait has nailed some giants. I like to fish 1-2oz oldham spinnerbaits cast about 40-50 yards allowed to sink to the bottom and slow roll big spinners in creek bend and tank dams on bottom. In June on Fork, if you worked the bridges, any of the 4 major bridges with this technique, your gonna get close to an over. Parallel each pilings and cast 20 past them, allow it to sink and work it back. I stay 20 away, and cast under and past and work the other sides and move to the next, swim baits and cranks cover the upper water columns. In August, alot of those bass setup deep on Fork, a good spoon takes alot of bass in 30 ft of water in August. Most throw the spoon in cold months, that spoon works well in the deep late summer. On Fork, the yellow bass or what the locals cal bar fish hit those spoons and go nuts, thats when big bass go nuts and hit the yellow bass, often resulting in big ole bass.

Chatter baits?
I didn't give them much of a chance at first. My GF loved to throw them. She is very inexperienced basser at the time. It didn't take long to see if inexperience was getting hit alot and she didn't know how to impart ten kinds of motion to them, pretty much chunkin and windin. I think Tom Redingtons success on Falcon with his modified chatterbait opened my eyes to her success with the basic model. I can tell ya, you can fish them like jerk baits, like spinner baits like buzz baits, eratic, yo-yo. I am learning a bunch of easy modifications that have produced. Great bait, best blade bait to come out in along time.

update on my what has been going on with me...
You've come along way since your initial screen name. Seems like you've done more than your share, you've been gone way too long. God speed, and thanks for your sacrifices, I do know the price of freedom and separation from loved ones is a tough road to haul and it takes men cut of a certain clothe to get the job done. Thanks Hookem Matt

Most Beautiful Part of the United States of America
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They always say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. From tubing on the Apple River in Wisconsin, to a mule train in Montana, to the Redwoods of Cali, down to blue bonnets of the Tx Hill country, to the fruit orchards of New Mexico in the mountains. Most would think Big Bend National Park boarding Mexico and Texas would be one big desert wasteland and ugly. I guess you never seen the desert flowers after a spring rain in the mountains. Thats what I love about the US, just when you think you have seen the vast majority of the US, it changes seasons and its a whole new country to see all over.

Anybody fish Lake Buchanan for Black Bass
Fish the creek and boat docks in the creeks on the upper NE side of the lake, this is were a lot of checks came from Honey Hole back in the 90's. Most of the upper end when full has been silted from the river channel , bass seem to better fishing from mid lakes down.

First Trip to Lake Fork
I love Fork in the Summer, from June till Dec, very predictable fishing in my opinion due to stable patterns. Once the summer pattern sets up out deep, you can set your watch on being at certain spots at certain times to catch that bite. Summer means stable weather and stable patterns. If you spent 3-5 nights at the dam, or on Caney point and a few other choice spots and threw a King Kong Swim Bait or something similar all night, you'll have several fish over 8lbs easily.

Raiders draft Rolando McClain????
I think Campbell is getting raw deal. New off. coordinator every year, 3 head coaches on top of that. Just like most guys, give them some time and they can complete some passes.

A 68 Game Tournament?
Expanding the tournament is on the horizon. I think it will water it down when the full expansion takes place.

The Detroit Lions....
Seems Detroit is trying to get Haynesworth from the Skins. Word is Skins trying to deal him cheap. If Lions took him, they'd most likely address that LT issue. MY Boys are rumored to being trying to trade Carpenter, Spears and Bennett to move up. I think Dallas would like to get UT safety Earl Thomas around 12-15th round.

Re: Big Bens Punishment...
Think back real hard with the Rooneys, every single little black eye that showed up was taken care of by the next season. There aren't many, cause they don't tolerate that behavior, not even a little pot smoking. Every receiver that had off field issue with substances in the past ten years, good or not, was let go one way or another. I know the mods appreciate that link not being posted, its graphic. You know, I'd be worried that some of my team mates probably have baby sisters that maybe of that age and in college. I'm gonna say that the bar this happened in, that somehow lost the security video tape, didn't want charges pressed on them for serving minors or allowing minors inside where all this took place. Why didn't this girl report it sooner? How about as soon as she got outside and found the first cop within minutes of leaving. She did report it. Ben is lucky that the bar was covering their butts as well. Ben is guilty for buying the minors shots, and the bar is guilty for serving it to them.

Re: Big Bens Punishment...
Stallworth hit a man running into the road, and he stopped immediately and called 911. Pacman wasn't suspended for the whole season either, until he failed to follow the commish's suggestions, then it became a full season +. No convictions either. Plexico could as easily taken a strangers life with his display of stupidity. Ben, if a 10th of info that is in the case that is now public is true, Ben deserves alot more. I give him less than a year with the Steelers. Rooney's will not tolerate a dirt bag to be a Steeler

Re: Big Bens Punishment...
I read what has been released to the public. If any of what I read is true, the entire year and playoffs at a minimum would be expected. if it isn't true, then at a minimum, 6 games is about right considering this is his second time accused in less than 10 months. One thing Ben is guilty for, contributing to minors. I suggest you go read the case file. Very disturbing, I have no respect for this guy at all.

broken digital scales
Some scales have default numbers that will read the same, this number could be troubleshooting code that means something to a factory tech. it could mean low battery. All digital scales at the hospital will give err code telling me what to check. Improper levelling, calibration out of date, unit battery low, memory loss. All done by digital numbered codes. Try looking for a 800 number or email and ask the company whats up?

Okay, what constitutues an attempt at proper grammar, one mistake, two, three mistakes ? Whos rule is that? How do you know you just didn't belittle a 12 year old, this forum does promote youth, and you just called a kid a fool. I couldn't tell you half the ages on this forum. I have met a handfull of 20,000+ members. Don't ya think he deserves a break from his teacher(s) and parents once in awhile, that means the grammar police too, if this was a youngster on the forum? even an adult don't need to be corrected in public on his proper or improper slaughtering of the english language.

Big bass Tourney Strategy?
If I know that big fish reside in that area, I'll camp all three days on that spot. Once the tournament starts, you have no clue who has been on your spot unless you've been there 3 days straight. Has this paid off? Why yes, I have been know to cash a check here and there in those tournies. In 1997, during Rita reminants on Fork in Sept, I had a 23 7/8ths 11.88 that would have won the tournament if she was a legal keeper, she was a short fish. I have said this before, Catt set me up on some spots, and I took a deep hole and set for 3 days straight, it was worth 900. on the 3rd day, and I was middle of the water taking the waves and other passing boats for 3 days straight. We worked very hard for that fish, matter of fact, lost one the day before that would of cashed. By the way, when we got back out there for the last hour and half, the other boats who had known, moved in as fast as we got up on plane. LOL. Just read this, 1997 and Rita, LOL, I think I have my date alittle wrong.

The Detroit Lions....
Gotta give the Lions front office some props, they did get over on us Cowboys with that Roy Williams deal. And Roy Williams is home town boy, and former Longhorn to boot, and we got the worst end of that deal thus far in my opinion.

broken digital scales
Bad battery(ies) could be causing faulty reading. Most likely, what is used to calibrate a scale is the Poteniometer, or stroke pot. you'll have to open the scale up. its gonna be a very fine, tiny screw, most likely, it will have loctite sealing it so vibration couldn't cause it to come out of cal. By turning it CW or CCW and pulling on the hook gently prior to rotating it, you see, it should adjust up and down while turning the tiny jewelers screw, if it don't, its bad. the other is to take a resistance reading of the pot with meter. Try new batteries first, The Berkley 50lb model using two watch batteries the size of Quarters unless they have changed batteries in the past years. Don't recall my Xtool scale size of batteries.
