Sam, I have been to some Big Xii championship games, and UT games, Holiday Bowls, but nothing that big. I hope you have some pictures to share. Did you have good seats. Never been inside the Dome. I have always thought Nebraska fans were some of the classiest fans. I have witnessed 3 Texas wins and like you, have good things to say about their fans. Hookem

It seems that's been the case about other teams for the last couple of years. Matt, I see your points about scheduling. It's the same in the Big 12. It would only be fair if everyone played everyone else. Its a media perception that the SEC is so tough, the best conference. Every year, Auburn gets Miss. St, Ole Miss, Ark and Alabama, and LSU, Now if you look at past seasons, Auburn is normally 4-1 or 5-0 on this schedule alone. add three cream puffs, and make that 7-1 or 8-0. Now depending on the three you play from the East, could be vandy, South Carolina, Kentucky, or Georgia, Tenn or Florida. Every year, its always gonna look like a very tough conference. But some one is set up for a nice run. This year, it was LSU's turn. And yes, it happens in all conferences. My poor Horns have not found a defense as of yet, and we play KU, CU, Mizzou next year, as well as Ark for two years, We catch the North when they are on the rise. UGA president wrote letter to BCS, gave them 8 team format 7 games, with the 4 major bowls as quarter finals playoffs. Just the way it plays out most years, Hookem

What most don't see or fail to look at is, There has basically been only 2 colleges in the West that competes for West title and thats LSU and Auburn. Look at it since the BCS!!! Since the BCS was conceived, Theres only 3 colleges from the east that plays for the title. Florida, Georgia, Tenn. Are you with me so far. Georgia didn't have to play LSU this year. Normally the team that plays LSU, Auburn from the west don't play for the title that year. Stats speak for themselves. There are 5 good teams in the SEC on most years, and when has Miss ST, Ole Miss, Vandy, Kentucky, Alabama and Ark and South Carolina, been consistently playing for the conference title? How many times have these great schools been in the running for the West, EAST or over all title? Just like other conferences, then and only then can you fairly judge strength of schedule. Florida lost 4, one of them to the Wolverines who lost 4 games as well, and the heads up game was in Florida was it not, and Michigan got ranked 4 spot behind Florida. Heads up or not, Michiagan beat College footballs best player and defending champs and that counted for what? Nothing!!

Its easy to say OSU was out coached and played when the score looked like it did. Lsu was the more physical team on that night, on both sides of the ball. They created a spark in another phase of the game, ans that was special teams. No doubt LSU is at this time, the best that survived this crazy 2007 season. Don't remeber is LSU and Georgia was on the schedule this year or not. If they didn't play, I would love to see that game as well. Second half of college football, I thought the Gerogia Dawgs was the hottiest football team playing. Most of all, there defense got meaner in the second half of the season. They flat out went after you on defense. No setting back and counter punching of defense, they smashed you in the mouth from the start. I would pay to see LSU and Georgia play next!!!!

Any body hear the news, Somebody said they are sick of the BCS, didn't catch all the name. Adams was the last name I heard on the radio last night. Something about a 8 team playoff over 3 weeks with 7 games and the normal 4 BCS games would be quarterfinals? Any body else hear this.

I'm not gonna go over who beat who, but if you look at the heads up play between Florida and Michigan. Both 4 loses, and Michigan whooped the snot out of florida, and consider Michigans 4 fumbles to begin with, and still dominated the defending national champs and the best player in college football. AND WAS STILL RANKED 4 SPOTS LOWER THAN FLORIDA. if that don't show the east coast bias in the voting system. Head to head and they beat Florida and still get placed behing them Both teams are 9-4, along way from perfection.

First off, Congrats to LSU fans. I would rank LSU at NUMBER #6, I'd leave 1-5 open, as I don't see a clear champ this season. Lots of two loss teams that didn't get a shot!!! One loss, okay, it happens, two losses and theres no excuses. I will say when the smoke cleared, LSU played a tougher schedule and earned the right to be there. Michigan just ripped the SEC and they got beat by Appy state, who don't come close to 80 scholarships, so they shouldn't have ever made it close to begin with, but they did better than that, they beat Michigan who just happen to beat the defending National champs and Heisman Trophy winner, which is the best player in college. I'd holdoff on the SEC great accalades. The best the SEC can offer is two losses, as most. One of the weirdest years I can remember. Matt

Most coachs, most agents would have used one of the biggest sports stages of the year as a platform for news to tell the Washington Redskins he's retiring last night, but not Joe Gibbs. Joe Gibbs was always a class act, no matter how much of a rivalry there has been between NFC EAST Foes, Gibbs always coached by example, led by example. Joe Gibbs is and was always a class act. As a Big XII supporter, i don't think KU earns the right to be Number #2. One quality win was VT. They didn't really beat anyone to be top ten in the first place. No one else wanted to be in top 20 either. how many years do you see that many ranked teams fall, once? Twice? Weird year this year.

Josh, I'll answer this with two answers. If you planned on releasing that bass in another body of water other than were it was caught, not in the same lake? Could it do harm? Yes. Is it wrong to keep a bass in a livewell and release it in another part of the lake? No, as long as your livewell works adequately, and your not keeping bass in hot water in the summer which could really stress them. Always use Additives to your livewells. Good luck to Catt, he is devoted fan like myself to the Big XII. I have had SEC pounded at me all season. Thus I dislike OSU very much, and the SEC. If OSU wins, there are two teams with one loss in top ten. The winner of this one will be the first team in "BCS History" to win it TWICE!!!!!! I know that if the SEC wins, I'll hear about the SEC for who know how long!!!!!!! I'll be pulling for LSU tonight, change of heart, I don't personally know any OSU fans that I remember. In short, OSU. All my Big Xii buddies want OSU to lose, so there will be only one ranked team with one loss. Kansas, who didn't earn the Orange Bowl bid. Then there are those that say SEC is greatest show on turf. So another trophy there just makes their egos over inflated. OSU to win please.

never gained much confidence throwing the chatter bait. MY girl friend has and likes me to tie one on alot. Her best on Sam Rayburn is from the Chatter bait. 4lbs, she lost a money fish the same day at the boat. Not much experience last year in April bassin. She has seen the master flip many of bass in the boat, but never seen me flip one around 6-7 pounds which she attempted to do. That was a big bass splash, so that fish could have won an hour or took a tenth place, you never know for sure. Could have been 1000 or 200 bucks for the hour. Lesson learned!!!! Matt

There is not one team that is dominate this year. If you don't ever put emphasis on strength of schedule and reward points for quality wins, then what prevents teams like Florida and Michigan and others from scheduling more Div. IIA colleges to play. okay, i'll play along. USC now takes Notre Dame off schedule, why should they keep them on the schedule? Notre Dame according to history is winning college, so they will be again. Why play them when playing cream puffs will do the same, except, the odds of losing are in your favor, so having good record in the end will get you playoff spot. And so, you will have 50 teams playing no ones because you aren't penalized for it, and yet, you are rewarded for it. Look at Kansas this year. Not one quality opponent until the orange Bowl, I should of said, not one quality win until VT. How do you know the SEC is the conference to beat. Michigan took the Heisman trophy winners team and beat them pretty good. Then again, Michigan got beat by a Div II college, Unless they play good known programs before hand, how do you gage the parity of one conference over another? By a handful of Bowl games. Last year, USC beat Ark in Ark who by the way, was SEC west champs, 70-10, Ark. only loss until SEC championship game between Florida and ARk. Florida spanked them good also. USC rips them and so does Florida. Arkansas had only one loss at the time. So what does that say about the SEC west? Not enough info to form clear judgement from one game. If teams take the easy way out, don't schedule any one, there will be 16 teams trying to get 8 playoff spots with teams crying the very same thing they do on Bowl selection week Its not gonna be fair with playoffs either under current criteria. What grinds my gears, When you are doing the max speed limit, and tail gaiters in any lane thank you need to move so they can break the law. Or people who are on the cell phone using one hand to drive. Very unsafe, just as eating and other distractions are or can be!!!! The one that really bugs me is the no car seat, baby in the lap. jenga, thats the same advice I tell all guys wanting to learn how to decipher what they see. First off, you got to come out of auto mode to really see a difference. I like to find swim beachs at lakes, its a harder sandy bottom, I also like to find the soft mud bottom. Go over those a few times playing in auto and then manual mode playing with sensitivity. Find a dam made of rocks that are steep, graph that, make some adjustments to get a better idea. I like to go over large launch ramps. You know the sides and such, if you are going slow or to fast as you go over, change speed of the graph to help with boat speed. Some times chart speed is too slow, and you will notice you passed the edge of the ramp ten yards back yet just now showing on the graph. Find vegitation, brush, go to clear areas of the lake, find an old tree that is 2 ft under the surface, go over it. look at the picture it gives. Then move over a few feet, when does it not show on the screen at x amount of feet, it will give you an idea of the cone angle or how far in the deep of water it see on both sides of the boat. ie........at ten feet, you may only see about 1 foot on either side of the boat. Where at 20 ft, you see 8 ft out on both sides of the boat. the deeper you go the more you'll see. Matt

Glenn, I'm surprised at the dectectives on this site that didn't ask what an oil spill from somewhere else has to do with Oklahoma and this? I know for a fact, that some of the same guys on here have pulled the wool over a few of your eyes in the past and ongoing to this day. Do I loose any sleep over there pretending to be something they aren't? I almost posted some pictures of big green treees and Chris' plants on the patio yesterday. 77 degrees yesterday. Also, if you look at the last ten years of my pictures from summer months and even some cooler days, you will see the same shirts and hats in my pictures. Some great eveidence. By the way, you can probably tell its winter just because of the hats and same shirt in those pictures also. So, for the dectectives who think all trees loose there leaves in winter, or there is no such a thing as green grass in winter. Big deal!!!!!! I'm sure there are some guys that can tell you they have seen snow melt and winter rye grasses are green as can be after snow melts off, grass as green as it is in the summer. And Chris takes the plants out on good days to water and let them drain. I have seen so many bass that looks the same, i'm not gonna try to play CSI by sight of pictures only. Good Grief!!!! Based on plants, grass, clothes, same dead trees on Fork, and such, i'm glad I haven't ever posted or bragged. You guys are brutal. Integrity, its a funny thing in Cyber space. WRB is correct. Find the food source . I have alot of different types of lakes to fish within a short drive. There are numerous ways to find the depth bait are at quickly. Tons of crappie fishermen tied to bridges, they'll tell you what depth crappie are that day. If crappie are at 28 ft, you can bet bait and other species will be located at that depth on ledges, points, humps, suspended of road beds, just as others have mentioned. Striper or hybrid guides will be on fish, and shad or other food sources will give you the depth of bait also. Even though they are different species, they have bait fish as the common denominator. That depth will be common. Most hybrid, white, and striper guides have radios, lots guides will radio depth to other guides. It ensures guides find active fish for clients, you can be amazed at some good info that gets shared. Most bassing guys don't have marine radios on the norm, some of my bait shops do and will monitor the info and share the depths. Lots of easy ways to find info with out using electronics. Bait shops that sell minnows will usually know what depth the crappie are at, and that is easy money. Take that info, wind direction and wind blown points with that depth and you have the basic figured out. Just remember that the length of daylight will tell the bass time is near, and they'll keep moving closer to spawning flats as the days get longer which is warming trend even with spring fronts continue to pass.
