  1. Indeed. Moments can be so fleeting....
  2. Let's be honest. You don't *have* to throw it...
  3. Pfft. You only THINK it did LOL Good on ya, and the Ned.
  4. What are forum friends for? I'm so glad I could help out. And look, don't bother taking your Ned tackle to the dump. Such a terrible waste of your time, and gas. I would be more than happy to help you out. No really. I am very generous that way. I can dispose of it for you, just send all of it my way and I'll take care of it.
  5. Your loss. Sorry, bro.
  6. Indeed. Education is key. The more you know....
  7. Just passing this along. I have it on good authority that it is true. So please, just stop using it. You don't want it to turn into every other "it" bait. Trust me. Thank you. PS, in case you didn't know, PSA stands for Public Service Announcement. Now you know. So you must obey.
  8. Welcome aboard!
  9. Have got both. If I could have a grip I'd use all the time it'd be the older Shimano Compre (spinning) cork grips. As it stands, I really like the St. Croix Premier spinning reel over my previous Avid, and a tad more than my Legend Tournament rod. On casting it's either/or, to be honest. I like and use both.
  10. My parents bought me a ruler when I was a lad which had a plaque that read "A Messy Desk is the Mark of Genius". I've lived by that ever since. However, I do envy those who keep a neat desk/work area. LOL....
  11. Stick with it until it is either nicked, or too short for your liking. Of course that's my opinion. I usually stay with my leaders until they're too short for my liking....
  12. Welcome aboard! Which hook do you mean, considering there are several pictured above?

    Welcome aboard!
  15. Welcome aboard! BG gets some amazing reviews on the interwebs. i think a 4000 is a bit large/heavy for largie/smallie fishing, but! If it is in your wheelhouse, then go for it. By all accounts, it is a very strong, durable reel. Heavy? Yes, but that's to the person who is wielding the reel ;).
  16. A Trash80. Now that was a computer....
  17. As @Glenn said in another thread, it's one of those problems that isn't obvious and needs to be sleuthed. It is still hit and miss for me, too.
  18. Yup. Up, down, slowness. I'm sure Glenn is on it.
  19. Welcome aboard!
  20. Welcome aboard! Bass Pro makes some fine rods. I've used from the Graphite models up to the Carbonlites, tho not all in between. I'd be fine with the PQ2 having handled them in the store. They feel like previous years' Carbonlites. And FWIW, $60-100 is kind of a sweet spot for rods. So many good and dependable models to choose from.
  21. Have experienced this several times over the past 10 years with getting some woodwork done on some stairs. People... even friends who are woodworkers... say "yeah, I'll stop by tomorrow and give you an estimate" and _never_ show up. Then there's avoidance. When you see them out n' about and they slip out quickly to avoid. Or at least it seems that way. Frustrating. Ended up just doing the work myself after years of waiting. But without the customization I was hoping for.
  22. I've used 1-2/0 on mojo rigging with tiny flukes, etc.
  23. Welcome aboard!
