That's basically all I use when I was using braid. I did try Tuf-Line Sprectre (SP) when they were a sponsor here. I'm not even sure that line is even produced any more. The reason for the thread is because I was reading that it was a fused line in lieu of a woven line as @Scott F points out. That concept really got me curious. @MN Fisher, 832? I can honestly say that all the carriers that deliver to us are very good and very friendly as well. No complaints here. I think we’re (my family) very fortunate that they do what they do. I never used fireline and know it’s different than braid. I know it’s been around for a long time and I’m thinking about trying it out next season so I was wondering if you all could help? How is it for casting reels? Stretch? Low stretch like braid? How is it for holding knots? I’m assuming a Palomar knot would be a must? Finally, is it thinner than mono like braid? Thank you

Man, it’s been a year for tornados. A few weeks ago we had 6 roll through. 3 or 4 in September. We hardly ever get them.

Thank you @WRB for the comments. Your opinion is always welcomed. I had a hard time finding a supplier for plain ultra minnow heads. I remembered that a long time member here had the mold and was gracious enough to pour them with the black hooks for me. I really didn't have many options. The hooks I got with these jigs in saltwater is never desirable, but the areas I fish tend to take a few jigs off my line. I guess in a way, I'm saving money I would have paid if I had these done with stainless hooks and lost them? IDK? Either way, my gear and tackle always comes off the boat after every outing and rinsed with fresh water and wiped with a clean towel. Thanks again.

Back in the day a slider was often called a nickel or dime type slider. When throwing a slider the seems spinning on the ball at a high spin rate that made it look like a red dot to a hitter. A good slider was considered a dime slider because the dot was perceived to be dime size. A so-so one was the size of a nickel and often called a nickel curve.

Was able to sit down the other day to tie up some more. 22 tied and sealed, 20 to go. Still need to apply the eyes.

If this is a temporary solution as you mentioned in the opening post, then you did yourself very well. Nice job man.
