  1. Pure speculation but based on price point and would assume the description is referring to High Tensile Strength Graphite.
  2. Daiwa Fuego $65 on Ebay same as Tatula without T-Wing and full Aluminum frame. Shimano Casitas $100 plastic (Graphite) frame paying for the name. Fuego>Casitas in every way.
  3. All my rods are Kistlers broken down between Mag 2, KLX and Helium 3, all my spinning reels are Stradics and all my casting reels are Abu Garcia. I use the same line brand with all my setups and for the most part all my hardbaits are from the same company. So I am one of those people that likes to keep ever category limited to one maybe two companies to keep confidence and feel.
  4. I am one of Abu's biggest fans. With that said I will not try another "high end" spinning reel from them. Growing up I enjoyed the Cardinals series but their high end is not on par with Shimano and Daiwa. Personally I love my Stradics and have come to the realization that Shimano is the only brand I'll turn to when buying a spinning reel. But casting reels Abu all the way. Very hard to beat the gen 4 Revos.
  5. I have not used the Dobyns but I do own every model line of Kistler. The use the exact model of KLX you are referring to for my t-rigs and small jigs. I like the suggestion @kschultz76 gave but would say go for the KLX Feel N Reel over the Helium 3 to save a little dough with the sale right now.
  6. Kistler Mag 2 in Med or ML. I personally use the ML KLX but that is out of your range. You can get the Magnesium 2 for $180 straight from Kistler's site with their 20% off sale.
  7. If you are throwing cranks 10' or less and they are the smaller plugs then I would suggest the 6:1 reel. I only use 5:1 when I am using Deep XD cranks like 20-25' range.
  8. Jackall Crosstail Shad Strike King Drop Shot Half Shell Roboworm BioSpawn Plasma Tail Occasionally the Big Bite Squirrel Tail.
  9. X-Fast for light baits, Fast for heavy baits.
  10. The 2018 Heliums have Blue Winn Grips but can get cork if you special request it through their website. Also the Z-Bone is "Discontinued" with a new version coming in the next couple months with new components and a new blank. So when using this chart make sure you are buying the 2016 or 2017 models. If it stats 2018 models they are different.
  11. I'll take them if their durability is on par with their exostick but has action like the Keitech. I love my Swing Impacts but hate the price per bait for their durability. Same issue I have with Senkos.
  12. I've tries the BPS Knock Off and the Rage Swimmers and don't get near the production I do with the Keitechs. The squid scent must be the secret. I don't know any specifics on the bait. Just excited because of how much I enjoy the Exostick. I hope they are as tough as the Exostick because that is my only gripe with Keitechs.
  13. Biospawn has just released an image of their new product the ExoSwim. I talked to a couple staffers and was told they have the same texture as the Exostick. I have been a fan of Biospawn and can't wait to try these. Staffers told me official announcement at the Classic however could be later. Pic from Instagram.
  14. I agree I love my Gen 1 and 2 Revos. I bought up quite a few Gen 3 and were extremely disappointed in them. I wanted to give the SX a try with their new Dual Brake System and was amazed by them. They were definitely the quality I expect from an Abu reel.
  15. I agree with Stephen. I have a 5:1 I use for cranks and love it. I also have a S, 2 SX and 2 STX all gen 4. They entire lineup is under rated IMO.
  16. Vicious Pro Elite Fluorocarbon.
  17. x2 on the Fuego. You could also go with the Ardent Flipping reel. However you can only flip and pitch with the reel. If you want versatility than go with the Fuego.
  18. I have switched a majority of my rods to Kistler and will finishing switching this year. Great rods and they have actions and powers I have never heard of or knew that I needed. lol
  19. Molds- Lurecraft Plastic- Baitjunkys Colors and glitter- Lurecraft Bags and oil- Baitjunkys I would suggest practicing and practicing before trying to sell. Soft Plastic companies have popped all over in the last few years that it has become very hard to start. My Biggest suggestion would be to perfect your craft and get at least one or two custom made CNC molds that no other company is selling as a companion to the mass produced molds. Also once you do start your business injection molds are easier to produce more baits faster than hand pour.
  20. I always shopped at Gander for Guns. However I was shocked when my local Gander closed. I was in it two weeks prior and there was no mention of closing and my store was on the list to stay open. Then all of a sudden boom closed, no liquidation, no advertisement just closed.
  21. 14 on the boat and 4 on the bank.
  22. You must bank with a Credit Union since banks buy their competition multiple times a year. Its business. I go to BPS and Cabelas Quite a bit. I buy my guns from them but hardly everany fishing. Their gun department is willing to negotiate prices unlike the rest of their store (BPS) and the Cabelas in my area (haven't looked at guns since merger) were normally low priced anyways. To avid anglers their prices seem high but those prices are what the market bares. As long as their are inexperienced casual fishermen willing to go into BPS and pay those price the prices will continually increase.
  23. I'm the weird one and go straight to the manufacture website. I feel like if you made the product and released it to the public you should get ALL the money towards that product and not have to share profits with a company that simply puts your product on the shelf and does nothing to promote it.
  24. Daiwa Tatula CT if you want to try something completely different. If you wanna try something that is relatively similar to the Lews you currently use I would go with the Abu Garcia Revo gen4. The SX can be had for $90 on eBay.
