  1. I just received a 6'6" MM rod. What is the best application for this type of rod. I fish as a co and try to get rods that'll do more than one presentation effectively. I was thinking Topwater and Jerkbaits possibly even a dock rod.

  3. Not really in the market for a rod. But I thought 40% discount on either brand I would pick up a couple but didn't know which one would be best.
  4. The club I fish offers discounts on Carrot Stix and Enigma Rods. Which ones would you choose to purchase. I have an Aaron's Edge rod and love it and I also have the first Gen Carrot Stix and love it more. But I know about all the breakage issues with CS and I know how bad their Customer Service was. Is the new owners of CS any better or should I lean towards Enigma.
  5. I pay $150 in club dues ($75 to BASS and $75 to the Club) Each club event is $30 The President did not have all the information on fish Nation events yet since they just became affiliated this season. I tried looking on Ohio Bass Nation website and they do not have specific costs to enter saying fee change steadily.
  6. The club I just joined is affiliated with BASS. I am intrigued about fishing Nation Events since I have BFL events. However I cannot find much information about the Nation. I know there is a $75 fee for dues but what are the individual event fees for a co angler?
  7. I use a different rod for each. ML for weightless senkos, Flukes and light shake head. M for Weighted stick baits and flukes MH for bigger Shakey Heads. I would say get a M if you are using one dedicated rod.
  8. I can't wait to get on the water and try them I got the spinning rod for weightless plastics and the heavy for flippin and pitchin. They are so light weight I won't be fatigued at all with either rod if using all day.
  9. I didn't find much about these rods When I bought I but I was intrigued by the Air wave guides and Winn grip on a $80. I bought the ML finesse spinning rod and 7' Heavy rod. When they arrived I was shocked how light they were for the money. They seem Very well built for their price point. I cannot comment on performance since I haven't gotten to the water yet but some of the tricks I know test sensitivity puts it in par with my Fury and Fiber and Veritas. If it performs as well as it feels I'll be saving some money and buying $80 sticks over my normal $100 ones
  10. When using a bladed jig (chatter bait) it can be fished fast and erratic or slow and finessed. I have started to swear by bladed jigs in all season conditions. Here are some of the tips I have and I fish a lot from the bank myself. Fast Erratic Action Swimbait trailer Fast or Medium but Subtle Action Craw trailer Medium to slow with subtle action (finesse presentation) Fluke trailer deathly slow presentation chunk trailer You will have to experiment with all types of trailer and fin which works best for you but my advice would be fluke or craw trailer and slow your retrieve down.
  11. Off topic but wanted to say I thoroughly enjoy following your YouTube channel. I didn't know you were on the forums. Keep up the good work.
  12. I use basics Alabama craw, Green Pumpkin, Black Blue
  13. D Bomb and Palmetto Bug
  14. I've seen Jon B. using them and very intrigued about picking a couple up. I need a ml spinning rod and the Exage might be the pick.
  15. I used to swear by Red Label but I tried and now switch over to Vicious Elite FC. Same price point but more manageable. At least in my area Vicious Pro Elite FC is the exact price as Red Label.
  16. WKeitech Noisy Flapper or Rage Toads for me. I throw them on my Hvy frog setup.
  17. I've been waiting for a gen for Reno SX and STX for a couple years. I've seen prototype pics of a new SX that was suppose to be released at icast last year that didn't make it so I'm hoping they have them finished for this year
  18. I understand that, I tend to do the same thing. But the features of a PQ2 are to compete with other $99 reels and Tatula CT features compete with other $129 reels. The consumer wins with getting the Tatula CT for under MSRP. But degrading (not you but the other posts in is topic) a reel because it is in a lower MSRP price point because the other reel has deals on them is unfair and doesn't give a true assessment on reels.
  19. I don't understand how you can compare a PQ2 to a Tatula CT. These reels are in two different price points. Yes you can get a CT for $100 on eBay but that is below MSRP. When doing comparisons you must compare in same MSRP price category. To give a PQ a fair comparison it should be against a Fuego CT, Apex Ranger, Orra SX, LFS, Caenen, or Cerros. Anyway I am excited to try a pq2 I really liked the first gen one.
  20. ZMan Elaztech, Big Bite Squirrel Tail, Kicker Fish Hightail Holeshot.
  21. I have three bait I use the Zman Razor Shad, Keitech Swing Impact Fat (Bass Pro Speed Shad when I'm cheap), and Lake Fork Magic Shad. All are basically the same bait but all give slightly a different presentation and work at different times.
  22. I say Rod. Now a days $80-$100 reels can compete with high end reels you pay for weight reduction and shiny parts. But there is a large gap between $100 and $200 rods.
  23. Gman, Hack Attack, Ike or Wheeler. My 4 favorite anglers to watch.
  24. I agree I lines my whole tackle box with those 1.5 squarebills after that classic mostly because I never fished them before and on my first cast throwing the Sexy Shad I caught my PB and now I have a squarebill tied on every outing
  25. I know right after KVD won his last classic in Louisiana you couldn't find a SK KVD 1.5 in stock anywhere for months so I think it depends on the pro.
