  1. Dont need to be certified to fly a drone recreationally.
  2. I agree, great customer service is needed for brands that have many issues guess thats why Shimano CS is rather poor.
  3. Can it be any more harmful to the fish than the hook that is used to impale it, rip its lips, tear its gills, swallowed down the gullet.
  4. Whats ethical about sport fishing? Many people think its unethical fishing just for the fun if it. They want closed season all year round. Not unethical at all to fish for a bedding bass if a person fishes any other time of year.
  5. Thats not an issue I have unless the rigging gets tweaked making the ika come off the bend of hook or not on straight in some way. Mine always run/retrieve smoothly. -- A person can also walk the dog at surface and subsurface with them that is good for hits throughout the year. Great for tossing on weed mats as well.
  6. Sounds like you need to invest in some MENDT-IT if you havent already. Save $$$$
  7. Took my rod to work put it on the scale in the lab weighed 4.02oz.
  8. 2" Keitech swing impacts with 1/32 jig. When bigger are biting Ill use 2.8" FAT paddletails on 1/8 jighead. This works well under a float or just casting it out no bobber.
  9. Ive used CS a few times only once was I disappointed in their treatment. Had a rod tip replaced on a 2pc rod that I paid the $20 for got the new one delivered and not 30 minutes from out of the package to the lake and first fish on the replacement tip shattered at the joint. There is nothing at all on my end that I think was the fault for it to break like it did. They instead of sending me another rod tip free charged me $20 again to get the defective one replaced.
  10. Not too many Im more apt to find faults with hyped products. Current production rod Okuma Helios has impressed me for the price they are at walmart often $120 or so and can only say this for the 7' M/F and 7' MH/F models. I also feel the basic SC Avid though long in the tooth still hold their own but have fallen out of favor for more current releases. A rod not made any more(at least not the same build got downgraded) that impressed me the most got no love yet became my favorite rod is the original Quantum Smoke rod 7' M/F. And this is the rod I base my new purchases against. No doubt in my mind at all that I would take another gen 1 Smoke rod over the Helium 3.
  11. On another forum there is a thread for overrated rods I posted this rod in that thread. I wouldnt recommend this rod to you based on my use out if it. While fishing today with a lull in bites I looked over the rod more carefully. I now see that the first guide is not aligned all that well. There are 2 other guides while not bad they arent perfect or what a $300 rod should come with. One other issue is the reel lockdown is flexible and feels rather cheap not sure it will last. Ill say if I could return it get my money back I would. I looked on their site and shipping would be on me plus 10% for that $$ not worth the hassle.
  12. yeah messed that up should be .3840oz. dont want a person thinking its good for BFS, TT members would be salivating. I do have Tiny Ikas that weigh .0493oz
  13. You need a larger outer diameter spool size plain and simple even with light braid it makes a difference. A 20 size PFLU or 1000 size shimano wont cast as well as a 30 PFL or 2000 daiwa or 2500 shimano. Retrieve speed just look at IPT on what reel you like get it 29.5 plus. I have the 20 Pres and a 1000 stradic but much prefer 2000 Daiwa(RG-AB) for inline spinners and I use .005 braid/nanofil lines same as the 4# fireline you use.
  14. Ive had the Helium3 7'3" LMH for about a week now. It has more power than other medium powered rods I have like 13 Omen Black 7'1" M/F or Quantum Smoke 7' M/F or Okuma Helios 7' M/F. Its also a tad bit tip heavy not quite as light feeling in the hand as the others and thats with a Tatula SV on it. If had a choice would give up a bit of power for better balance. 3.8" fat paddle tails with 1/8-1/4 jig heads work just fine. Was throwing fat ikas .0834oz easily with it as well. The sensitivity is up there for sure very pleased with that.
  15. Id say stay at 1/0 size hook minimum if at all possible. Fall rate the fish will let you know what they like so having both 1/16 and 1/8 is in order. I fish the 2.8 a lot with both weights and hook sizes 1-1/0-2/0 and like 1/8 with 2/0 hook the best. But yes with lighter weight you can reel slower while fishing shallower. For very shallow and not wanting to drag bottom say 2-4fow 1/16 deeper than that think 1/8 will be fine.
  16. Works on the real deal too
  17. You would have to take up another hobby where I live. Today right now is calm at 10mph earlier when I was out fishing 12-20+.
  18. I have a Curado 70 with the 5.5 gear set in it.
  19. They hooked me for a Helium 3 the double dip on the discount worked for me. - TW is having the 21% off sale on their site as well but not the extra 10% off you can get on the Kistler site. At TW home/brands/kistler will show the 21% sale banner
  20. Been throwing senkos in Northern Il and catching bass already.
  21. I went to the trout open caught a fair amount and the wife has enjoyed eating them. A couple small bass too.
