Revo Baitcasters
The SX and the STX are exactly the same reel with the same brake system. The STX has lighter spool and a different pinion. After fishing both I can't either tell the difference.

dealing with line memory (*cough, P-Line CXX, cough*)
Agree with you. I use CXX 20-25 lbs for a while and had the same results, true that doesn't affect casting but is a pain. P-Line Evolution is a much better line. I use it from 10 to 25 lbs

IMX v GLX
After I put my hands on a GLX for the first time, my IMX became obsoleted. I still have a couple of them left but soon they are going to go.

Daiwa Tierra, Daiwa TD-Pro (BPS), Cabelas Prodigy
For me is the Tierra even so they are at similar level but you have the Daiwa support and parts availability

Revo STX
I can't comment on Cumara, The Avid is a great rod for any reel. I don't see a big difference between the SX and STX, so I sold them both

Reel Mechanic or other reel junkies
It make sense to replace bearing for bushings in any place you can and they don't have to be high grade except for the spool support ones, which in that reel is probably not significant due to the spool weight and lack of a free spooling design. I had added bearings to worm shaft on Alphas, Pixy and Zillions with great results.

Question about my new bait caster
Like he said, there are not good reasons to change hands while your lure is flying.

Team Daiwa Fuego reel?
Both are super reels. Fuego has a flat spool, which give you more speed and line capacity, Megafoce Z cast control system. Sol has a V spool, less line capacity and speed but capable of casting light lures easier. Megaforce V Good choice.

Hey, for those of you who have had experience w/ multiple baitcasters...

quantum reels
I have been fishing Quantums for a while, they are good, reliable reels, they only negative aspect I see, they are heavier than most in other brands.

Looking for a swimbait set-up.
Medium size lures, it is short for the Hudd, I would get the 806 for that porpoise or the Powell H.

Apparently yet another JDM Revo
Look to me like a lighter Revo S with a weaker drag......I hate the VBS.

Power Pro Braid??
I was a long term user of PP until someone in this board introduced me to Sufix....the PP was done. I always use a leader, fluoro or copol, no that much for visibility but for rod/reel protection.

Crankin' Line
Cranks or jerks are not things where I would use braid for. In deep cranking I go with BPS XPS fluoro otherwise P-line Evolution.
