  1. My dog anytime I try to relax on the couch. Case in point.
  2. It's flourocarbon coated, so it sinks very slowly.
  3. It was a frustrating day until I picked up that Plopper. Still, not unusual for the front deck of my boat to resemble a pincushion.
  4. I've never had the issue with the Booyah frogs tearing, but my buddy has torn several (after catching several fish on them), but the price is right that they're still cheaper per fish than a bag of Senkos. I've owned several Livetarget baits. They always look great but production has been lackluster at best. I've written them off more or less as baits that catch fishermen but not fish.
  5. It's peanut butter jelly time!
  6. I don't really care but prefer the R bend. Closed eye are great for fishing around toothy fish because it's easier to use a leader with them.
  7. All but about 4 fish in this video are fish I caught on a Whopper Plopper 90 in Sooner color. A Plopper outfishes any other topwater on this lake by a huge margin. I had several weeks in a row I was there for guide trips and that's all my clients fished the entire day regardless of conditions. This was the day that started it for me. The smallmouth were destroying a 130 Plopper in the shad color, looking more like muskie strikes than bass.
  8. Jason Christie Signature Series EWG worm hooks at Wal-Mart. Or buy in bulk from Captianhookswarehouse.com
  9. I love how much water I can cover with them, hate fishing them, lipped crankbaits. Only exception is a wiggle wart because they're fished so slowly it feels almost like dragging a jig to me.
  10. Smaller, maybe not, but the shape is different and the 50's did not fit my hands well. Something about the 50 hits a nerve in my thumb occasionally while I'm palming it that sends a shooting pain through my hand, couldn't continue to use them.
  11. I use the fluorocarbon coated stuff they carry at Wal-Mart. I fished a jerkbait on 10lb for an entire day Monday, caught dozens of fish. I kept checking the knot and giving it a stout pull check, never did need to retie. Also wrestled a 4+ out of some brush on a jig with the 15lb, couldn't find a bad spot in the line and had to cut to retie because I couldn't break it with my hands.
  12. 4lbs is a monster considering your catfish is a bullhead.
  13. When the ice melts, the bass start preparing for the spawn. This is one of the best times of the year to catch a really big fish.
  14. My wife's family owns an old rock quarry lake that I've fished a few times but the fish there are extremely easy to catch. I'd guess at the one you're dealing with, a wacky rigged Senko or weightless trick worm would work very well.
  15. Alberto knot to a leader if it makes you feel better or you need the abrasion resistance. I fish bright pink braid in clear water with no leader all the time for smallmouth, they don't seem to care and I don't waste time tying leaders.
  16. I have a 2000 size Revros that is just a touch smaller than most of my bass spinning reels but it works great. I'm new to Daiwa's gear, and it seems like their sizes differ from what I'm use to with Shimano. The line capacity on the 1000 is more like what I'd expect in a 2000/2500 size Shimano. I'd have no problem using a 1000 for finesse stuff like grubs or Ned rigs, but would probably opt for the 2000 for shakyheads, tubes, or wacky rigs.
  17. Very nice, look almost exactly like a Crock-O-Gator Zapper jig
  18. Some of their stuff is okay, but QC is pretty poor and durability is terrible.
  19. I prefer the Booyah popping pad crasher over the rest but the Spro Bronzeye popper is really good too. No Livetarget baits for me.
  20. You've asked basically this same question a few times over now, please refer to your previous post.
  21. I have a 3700 box of nothing but Ploppers. 90's, 110's, 130's, and a 190. I've caught fish on every size and color I've fished. They aren't magic, they won't catch fish in every condition, but something about them just makes the fish want to kill the bait at times. Bone and Monkey Butt are my favorite colors. There's times when they'll outfish a buzzbait badly, and times it's the other way around. It may not be magic, but I wouldn't want to have to go without them.
  22. Welcome!

Caught several on a chili craw Red eye shad Monday. Cold water early in the year, and muddy water after the spawn are the prime times for red baits for me.
