Saltwater anyone?
We're pretty limited on saltwater access here in Kansas. I'm jealous of your 26 degrees, it hadn't been that warm out here for well over a week until yesterday.

Afraid to use....
Search online or try to get them on FB or Instagram about getting one, but mostly you'll have to buy from an individual that is selling one. Typically run from 150-200 dollars.

Jig vs Crawdad
Catt nailed it for me too. You get a bigger profile and different rate of fall (rof) with a jig versus a plain plastic craw. I also like to fish the craw with lighter weights. A small plastic craw on a light slider head catches me some really nice fish every year.

Its the little things that matter
I have some Pointer 48's I use for trout and crappie. Possibly what you were using. They have tiny little hooks, probably #10 or even #12 I'd guess. It's much smaller than the 65 pointers I have.

Toledo Bound!
I fished with a member of the Kansas State University fishing team a couple weeks ago who will be there fishing as well and was really excited to go. That's a cool opportunity for you guys to get to experience. Hope everyone has a good time and catches some of those Toledo giants!

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
There wasn't much anywhere other than the river 2 weeks ago. Wolf was closed for over a week because of the ice, but they'll both be fine this weekend other than they'll be jam packed with boats and neither fishes well when the weather is nice during the winter.

Closed the old one I believe.

Afraid to use....
I've had some big ones come out from under docks and check it out. It'll happen this spring when the crappie are up spawning I have a feeling.

Yes, custom painted to look like a black crappie.

Afraid to use....
I have a bunch of pre Rapala Wiggle Warts I only fish in the Ozark lakes, only during tournaments, and I'm still nervous every time they hang up. Then there's this thing. I fish it, but I'm nervous the whole time.

Post a photo a day!
I saw this shirt online a few days ago and saved it so I can get it for my dad for his birthday. Papa is what my boy decided to call him, and my dad loves it.

Anyone looking for a way to pass some time while it's cold out, Mondo Tackle just opened a new store in Shawnee at 6442 Vista Dr, about a mile west of 435 and Shawnee Mission Pkwy.

Your Favorite Spinnerbait
War Eagle most of the time, but I also use some Booyah, Strike King, and some a local shop sells with each blade half silver/half gold. If I need a replacement skirt, I tie it myself.

BPS stores
Only reason I buy anything at BPS is because I need it today. Otherwise, I go in there so my boys can look at the fish. Sometimes I find something on clearance for a good price, but it's pretty rare that happens.

Post a photo a day!
There was at least 2 of of them in the series of pictures that had already dropped one side. I was pretty surprised to see it also.

Didn't see a deer in my blind at all this year, but I only went twice. Looks like there's still a few back there.

Chatterbait what size 1/4, 3/8, 1/2
I fish 3/8 95% of the time but started using some 3/4 and 1oz with the magnum blades this past year and had some success.

Seaguar Senshi hands on reviews?
I used the 8 and 10 a lot this past year and liked it.

Do I need a trout stamp?
I buy a state trout permit every year because a few of the lakes I fish you're required to whether a person is fishing for trout or not. Looks like you got your answer but a quick call to your state wildlife office should quickly clear up any uncertainty. Taking legal advice from even trustworthy folks here is not really the smartest thing to do.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2018
Fresh legs and something to prove. I really wanted the Chiefs to get him for those 2 reasons. Wasn't at all surprised that the Patriots picked him up.

Big swimbaits vs small water
My swimbait PB was from a puddle I could cast across with my 7" Slammer. Most of the lakes I fish are less than 200 acres and I fish swimbaits up to 9" in them. A 6lb fish is a big bass anywhere in the state. I catch lots of fish from a pound up on them.
