Am thinking of adding the bearing in the handles but I wanted to double check if this is the right size (4x7x2.5) I know I can get the bearings from Ebay which is cheap with shipping. I wanted to turn that into a little Scorpion. Thanks in advance ..

Exactly why I went with white lines. I'm a line watcher and its difficult for me during the cloudy days with green. I admit, I would pick "pink" line. I might do that for the thrill of it

Thanks guys - Just wanted to make sure since I have spooled it up with Yo-Zuri Hybrid 8 lbs line for 5 to 6 feet leader. When I attend a tournament event, Ill change the leader to Seaguar Red Label FC at 10 lbs to play safe. Again, thanks for making me feel little better

Hey Guys - Been using Tuf-line for my braid line (White 15 lbs) for a while . Just recicerv the package from tacklewarehouse and its so thin. I just put on sufix 832 Ghost on my LTB with Stratic 2500 CI4+. Not only that, I just hooked up a bass today which was in 1.5 lbs range while doing shore fishing (90% of the time) I'm thinking that this would be good as long there is not much heavy cover and mostly grass area. How do you guys handle those light 10 lbs line in tournaments ?

Dang - been using 6 feet leader on my wacky rod. In the past, I used to 24 inch leader but just prefer 6 feet for some reason and better release. 10 Lbs white braid line with 8 lbs Seaguar Red Label is what I use and It has not yet failed. Call me paranoid but I just don't like the fish being distracted by the white braid line in the strike zone.

I throw this on the Dobyns Champion 734C with Abu Garcia Gen2 STX (6.4.1) without any issues. Im considering moving up to Shimano Curado 70 XG (8.2.1) or Curado 200IHG (7.2.1). I am afraid that it might be too fast for me since I like to blast out in the veg in the area that I fish

Best decision you would make ...Go BRAID ! Question is which like would you like. I like the Tuf-Line the best since its more soft. Some people swear on power Pro but I think its too stiff for my taste. However I tend to have like 6 feet leader of 8 lbs line using the Braid to Fluorocarbon Knot: Alberto Knot http://www.saltwaterexperience.com/braid-to-fluorocarbon-knot/ But I just ordered Sufix 832 Braided Line Ghost 10 lbs to test it out.. However, once you move, You would see big time in casting distance. ( I hope ) Give a a try ...

I have decided to take a little break on the "Rod Hunting" Since I am planning to reach out to FishnKamp in the near future to test out the Powell Rod and see if that works for me.
