  1. Congrats young man! Naw, cameras don't scare away the heavier Bass 8-). Ask Randall! Dan
  2. All the Bass that I post pics and state their weight have been weighed on a digital scale and taped for length. I posted a couple of pics when my very expensive Salter scale quit registering the weight but I didn't state their weight. Dan
  3. Fine lookin' BASS y'all!!! Dan

    Nice catchin' Joe!
  6. I had a great time(though very wet! ;D) with a great Bass guide. Randall shares all his knowledge of Varner with you as he points out the grass lines, flats, structure, etc. I was amazed at his expertise but I shouldn't have been as we've all seen his Bass pics and they are usually heavier than that 7/4! He truly loves his job and fishes hard though he offered just to watch but I wanted him to fish and catch as I tried to learn a little bit about Varner. I left at 5:30 but he stayed and fished until 7 PM I think and he has a one hour trip home. Varner is a Bass Heaven IMO. We talked with Byron and Tim at the ramp and they too have caught some heavy Bass there. Good Bass talk and a few jabs and jokes were had by all. Byron said he wasn't afraid of a little lightning. I reminded him we had heard him praying as we electric-motored back to the ramp as his boat came alongside Randall's ;D Just wish it wasn't a 2 hour drive and that I had a 3-motor jonboat to fish that lovely lake! Thanks again for a fine trip Randall! Dan
  7. Man Brokejaw, you did FINE!!! What a nice Whopper! Get a Berkley or Rapala scale and you'll know for sure next time. Dan
  8. It's true according to Randall and Byron 8-). Always heard that too. Dan
  9. I use these hooks in the 3/0 size with no weight. There should be a hole punched through the fat end, about 1/2" from its edge. Dan
  10. Joe, I too love the heat! 95 degrees and I just got back but I didn't catch anything but a couple of dinks. You, on the other hand did a fine job! Dan
  11. Dad did good!!! 8-) Keep on teaching and fishing with each other! Dan
  12. The first of many!!! WTG bh! Dan

Avid said he values his cojones too much to jump in the water in Florida! Middle GA heat has been known to fry an egg on its asphalt but I'm a hot weather guy being born-n-raised in South Florida. Give me 100 degree heat over 32 degree cold any day! Dan
  14. You got it young man! ****** a few more over there on the left coast . I too usually don't mention the 'skunk days' but neither do I fish for "10 hours". Hardcore Basser for sure Chris. Dan
  15. Haven't gotten a bite on a suspending jerkbait in a month or so now but you did a great job! Beautiful BASS!!! Dan
  16. Great Sack Randall!!! Dan
  17. What Roger(and RW) said! Dan
  18. I fish a lot at my former boss's two ponds. Yours sound somewhat similar to them. The deeper(only 12'), larger one has been 'skunk city' for me lately. The shallower(8' max) has been much more productive lately. Why can't you fish both? Dan
  19. Now that's what I call "giving back!" Dan
  20. WTG Russ!!! You da man! Dan
  21. T-rig: It was aquatic fertilizer for the plankton(I think?) so the food chain can increase in numbers and size. BB: That was my last job. I retired in Feb. of this year. He wasn't my boss at the stockbroker's firm when I joined. I just lucked out when he got promoted a few years ago. Dan
  22. WOW!!! What wonderful BASS FB! Thanks for the pics and, KU, you are quite creative! 8-) Dan
  23. Good job Jason. I caught a couple of dinks too today but we both caught some Bass . Dan
  24. Oh Man, I loved that video; the lovely voices/accents and a Great Grandmother catching the BASS of a lifetime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in Love! Thank you for finding and posting that Viron. Dan
