  1. Wonderful story, trip, and Bass! What a great young man and Dad! 8-) Dan
  2. TC: I use to use Fireline but gave it up after discovering 100% fluro. Braid is not my 'cup of tea'. If I had to use a braid(and I still do once in a great while), it'd be Power Pro.
  3. Well, your description sounds like a slipped knot but I will never use Vanish fluro again after a couple of broken line problems. Seaguar is the leader in fluro. I never use a palamar knot. I use the Crawford Knot and have for 10 years or so; easy and quick to tie, won't slip, and doesn't use up so much line as the palamar does. Dan
  4. Avid is one funny Dude! ;D Crack'en me up young man! 8-) Chris: What a great story! You'll pick her up again for sure! Dan
  5. Now that's my kind of Woman! WTG youngun! Love your Bass pics and the write-ups. You are the best 8-) Dan
  6. Started at the swamp pond at 11 AM with air temps at about 100 F and water temps in the high 80s. Caught a couple of dinks on a Swimming Senko and then as I got to deeper(8-10') water, I started throwing a new Aragon cr/bait that was gifted to me by the owner of that web store. I caught a 2 lber and then a 3 lber on it. It's amazingly snag-free in this underwater stump infested pond. Fished until 2:30 PM and headed home to a shower and AC. 3 lber Bait closeup Dan

Now that's what I call a fine pic.............................of the sun ;D! You're gonna need eye surgery too if you keep on squintin' directly at the sun A. Fine daughter and I had to laugh at Matt's fist post. Cracked me up Get the surgery, heal up, and do the PT and you'll be fine...young man! Dan
  8. Y'all don't know heat until you've been on middle Georgia asphalt in August..... Bass will still bite if they see the 'right' bait at the right depth though . Dan
  9. Good deal! 3-3.5 lbs I'd guess? Dan
  10. Hmmmmm? I get no line twist using the WR on my baitcasting rig. Were you fishing with a spinning rig? Nice Bass! Dan
  11. Yes Ob, I use this tripod with my Canon Powershot G6 camera. I fish alone about 95% of the time. The tripod with the camera clamped on lies collapsed on the deck behind me until I need it for a pic. Dan
  12. Great video Russ! He's a winner for sure! 8-) Dan
  13. A spinnerbait can be your friend when there's wind . Don't be afraid to throw 1/2-3/4 oz ones either. No need to hang your head. We've all been skunked so give it a try again. Dan
  14. Yep. I've seen guys that IMO, set the hook too hard. If it's a sharp, quality hook, you shouldn't need to 'wham' them . I too think you caught some very nice 2lbers and great pics btw! Dan
  15. Fine Bass!!! Great looking lake too! Y'all did good Hydro 8-). Dan
  16. Yep, very nice Bass---maybe 6-7 lbs? Dan
  17. Will be gladly awaiting your return my Techna AV Man! Dan
  18. Now that's some fine uh....................pics! Great hair young lady! 8-) WTG FB. Y'all did finnnnnnnnnnnnnnne . Dan
  19. Yes, they can be rigged with a 5/0 EWG hook. I ran a wooden toothpick through the nose of the bait and the hook's eye after rigging it to keep the bait from slipping back. Dan
  20. Yowsuh! Now that's the kind of pics we like to see around here!!! 8-) Hard core fishin' is in your blood Deb Dan
  21. "Naked Gun"? ;D Yes, it was a straight retrieve with a couple of pauses thrown in. Dan
  22. Thanks y'all. Deb those KY are just hoping you'll catch(and kiss as in your avatar!) them. Go get 'em youngun! Yea, I know what y'all mean. Ten years or so ago, I was fishing out of a jonboat with my BIL on a hot July day down in Tallahassee, Florida. No water, just Coke...stupid! Plus I was chewing some string tobacco and, of course spitting. When we were pulling the boat out of the water and stowing the gear away, I just started getting dizzy and passed out. I felt it happening and I managed to fall onto the Explorer's tailgate. My BIL didn't see me fall but he said later he heard this awful sound coming from me and he rushed over to me and started to roll me into the truck but I woke up and said "Wait". He kept pushing but I wanted to just get into the front passenger's seat. I did and he got the AC on Max. and I felt much better. No Emergency Room visit; just went to his home, got a shower, a nap, and supper and all was well but I know to watch myself. DRINK WATER---ALL YOU CAN!!!! Dan
  23. Whew! Was it hot! 102 degrees F air temp with a 114 Heat Index. Water temp was 94 degrees . Caught a few small ones and two, 2 lbers. Squadminnow-2/10-18" Swimming Senko-2/9-19" Note the 'new' background. That's on the lake behind my friend Steve's home in 'nawth' Macon. I was whupped when I got the boat and gear back in the truck. Thought I might pass out but I hung tough. Dan
  24. Great bunch of sac-a'lait! Dan
  25. Excellent catching! Dan
