answer to bill dance fishing quiz??
I've read that a crawfish is almost 100% protein and would be the preferred meal of a Bass but I vote for the 5", #222, Senko ;D Dan

how can you tell ?
I watch my line....sometimes... My 68+ year old forefinger is my 'best friend' as it curls in front of my baitcaster(you are using a baitcaster right? ) with the line lying on top of it as it exit's the reel. If something "alive" touches it, I feel it. That "touch" is unlike any "dead" object; rock, limb, root, grass, etc. Once you've gotten a few bites, nibbles(usually a panfish ), or a 'thump'(often the entire bait/hook hitting the back of a Bass's mouth), you won't mistake the "dead" feeling with the "live" one . Of course, using a 100% flurocarbon line and a sensitive rod helps. Dan

Summer Heat = bad fishing?
Welcome to BR. Don't be afraid to speed up your retrieve with a 'noisey' bait like a rat-l-trap or a Chatterbait.... Dan

My home team just won the US Little League Champio
Thanks y'all. They got home safely last night; riding in a big bus with a motorcycle escort from the Atl airport to their home in WR. We've lived here since moving from Miami, Florida back in 1972. We raised a good looking, healthy son here. He never played LL but he did play in the county leagues and in middle and high school baseball. Loved seeing those fine young boys represent the South and WR so well. Dan

Seaguar, truly a trophy hunter's line

Slayed em @ the pond (pics)
You two youngsters are some fine BASSERS!!! What impressed me was the fact y'all caught those big Bass from the shore and out of pads. That's hard 'work'! 8-) Dan

Best Jig
AT: A new knot is not necessary unless you're using only the Palomar knot. You just run your line through the nylon insert that runs through the jig's body and then run your line through the line tie and tie whatever knot you like with the exception of the Palomar. Dan

Yes, but only if you use a baitcaster . Dan

Senko Rod
I use several rods for my Senko baits but one of the best is my 7', Kistler, LTA Helium in their Medium action. They will throw a weightless one a country mile! 8-) Dan

Best Jig
Look closely at the unique line tie. Great hook, skirt, colors, and it sits upright on its flat bottom with a 'chunk' style trailer. Note, no 'eyes' on the jig's body and IMO, there should be none as that's the 'tail' of the jig/crawfish imitator. Dan
