What a morning!
Nice going! Congratulations!

How many techniques did you start with?
I started out with a bobber and either night crawlers or red wigglers. Later on I started fishing with crankbaits. Probably Heddon or Cordell baits.

SANDING THE SHINE OFF CRANKS
No way. They get beat up enough through regular use.

Anyone Superstitious?
No superstitions at all.

Would you reveal untouched honey hole for a state record?
I would say no due to the fishing pressure around here. By the end of the fishing season that honey hole would be a mud hole.
-
What would you throw?
Looks like my backyard after a heavy rain.

Am I being unreasonable?
All of my casting rods are one piece, and all of my spinning rods are two piece. Besides the 7'0" ML rod, I don't think I have ever had them apart.

The Found Lures Thread
The count so far is four crankbaits, two spinnerbaits, and a buzzbait that I had to use the telescopic lure retriever to get down.

05 Aug 2019 ~ Unusual SMB Catch
I'm trying to figure out how it managed four baits. If I had caught the smallie and it had another bait in it's mouth I would have removed it.

Exposed Hooks in a Weed Filled Lake?
A shallow running crankbait or wakebait could be an option depending on how deep the tree branches are.
-
Do you get frustrated with catching dinks?
It's nice to catch a 5+ pound bass every once in a while, but fishing once or twice a week I'm good with catching 1 to 2 pounders all day.

Bank fishing approach for late summer?
On bright, hot, sunny days I stay away from the rip rap later in the day. I'll fish around it at night, and early morning, but after about 9, or 10 am, I've moved on to the shallows where the vegetation is growing. Late morning and in the afternoon I'm noticing around here that the warmer the weather is, the deeper into the slop the bass are.

How many variables do you change at a time?
The variables I can change depend on the variables that I can't change.
-
How many jigs do you buy at a time?
I usually buy 2 or 3 at a time depending on how many I have stored up. Another factor is the brand of jig, and if it on sale or not.

Green pumpkin, the best all around color?
Earlier this summer it was all about watermelon red. About a month ago is when green pumpkin plastics started working. I think it has something to do with the color of the crawfish in the water I fish. They turn a brownish green later in the year.

I discovered a new presentation.
That presentation has been around for years. Because this is a family forum I can’t say it’s correct name.

Ultralight Fishing question.
I use a ml rod for ul applications. Sometimes I’m pulling through thick vegetation, and sometimes I like to have a little extra muscle just in case I get hold of something bigger than a panfish.

So far this season what has been everyone’s most productive lures?
Ever since the weather got hot the bass have been going after t-rigged craws or plastic worms either weightless or on a split shot rig.

Star Trek: Picard
I’ll watch it, but I’ve really only been a fan of TOS, and TNG.
