  1. I really don't think that would be the most efficient way to run a pair of TM's at the same time. Both of those motors present themselves as resistance to a battery. The TM of least resistance will basically draw more battery potential than the one of more resistance. I believe you'd see maximum efficiency from both motors if you ran them on seperate batteries. That or found some way to isolate the motors from one another.
  2. I've used those Berkley ones for years. They're OK. The only problem is storing rods with the reels all in the same location, they just don't fit so I try and stagger the rods via the handle length, long - short - long. It still doesn't work out right. I'm planning on making a floor mount one this winter.
  3. 3M contact cement should work good there.
  4. I had a friend who had an unlined aluminum LW in his tracker. Fish didn't last long in it. They just seemed to beat themselves up inside it.
  5. Wal-mart isn't the only big box retailer that does that though they were one of the first big enough to have that kind of clout.
  6. I'm pretty certain a '91 Stratos had wood structural components. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as the boat was well maintained during that time. As for the price, at $4500 that boat better be pristine and not need any immediate work done to it.
  7. Wouldn't that be a pole poll?
  8. Nonsense. Minn Kota is the one providing their warranty on any of the units that WalMart sells. Any trolling motor off an assembly line that didn't meet an inspection test would be taken off and either fixed or dismantled. A defective returned TM would be taken to a refurb center, repaired to spec and then resold as a refurb unit. I also believe that there are many states that require that anything sold that's a factory rebuild be labeled or marked as such.
  9. Who? I don't watch much Nascar. I've tuned in to races in the past to watch OW guys to see how they're doing. Obviously Tony Stewart is always a kick to watch. Mr. Lunkhead himself, Robby Gordon. and now, that Jaun Carlos guy..... ;D JPM was a hoot to watch in F1. He was one of the very few guys that would ever put a wheel to Herr Schumacher. When he came over from F1 as a test guy for Williams and joined Chip Ganassi's race team I thought of him as something of an F1 p***k. Then I watched his in-car camera when he was running some his first ovals in CART. He didn't seem to get it at first but man, did he have some of the fastest hands as far as car control I've ever seen. If he hangs around long enough he'll definitely win some races besides the road courses. He is a very good driver. Capable of beating anyone in Nascar. Tony Stewart gets on my nerves all he does is whine and ball about loosin :'( I don't know many racers, regardless the series, that don't whine or blame someone else. It's almost second nature for them.
  10. I usually just toss a marker buoy over my shoulder when I'm on the dash graph.
  11. It's been tough. A couple lakes the boat ramps are getting real skinny water under them and it's making launching and reloading a chore. Hopefully this weather pattern change with rain will get things turned around in the right direction.

Glad to hear you're OK. I was involved in an accident the first of last month on the way to the lake, guy dozed off at the wheel and when he finally woke up, he turned at the last minute to miss me. He didn't. He took a kiss shot off my right front bumper and slid into a concrete light standard.....HARD Only that airbag kept him from anything more than some minor cuts. Now I'm hassling with his insurance company. Apparently I'm partially at fault. I was somehow supposed to predict this guy was coming at me and was sleeping and acted accordingly. :
  14. They were in unbelievable shape. I was shocked. I half expected some frames with the guts missing. ;D
  15. I understand the rod's been changed for the better.
  16. Boats, especially back then, rarely came with an owners manual.
  17. I seriously doubt there's anything wrong with either your TM battery or you're graph. Simple ohms law, as the current draw goes up due to the TM drawing more the voltage goes down. Most electronic devices, especially designed to run on DC won't 0perate correctly under a certain voltage for long. Disconnect your graph from the TM battery and put it on your cranking battery.
  18. I've got to think that BASS and FLW could at least give you some general info regarding their reach and demographics. Have you tried contacting either?
  19. Go here http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zeromain?id=1 and check out either the Freshwater or General fishing forums. You could also try the Panhandle or NW forums but those guys are mostly SW fishermen.
  20. Yeah, those suck big time on a C rig.
  21. I have 2 SC's and an SX, during actual fishing conditions I can't tell the difference between the two except the color. As for the Curado vs. Revo comparison. I've never fished with a new Curado though I've sold a few. Spec wise, they're heavier. If you go with the 100 series you lose the weight but you also lose the line capacity and some people, like myself, find the size a little too small when palming the reel. Both are fine reels though. The Revo SC is probably the best bargain going in fishing right now. With the rebate, which I believe is now over, you could get the thing for $70. Not bad. Even at $90, shipping included, it's still a deal.
  22. I also have an SX and 2 SC's, I really can't tell the difference between the 2. The bearing count of the SC vs the SX is indistinguishable in operation.
