"Dale" on CMT
The real skinny is he was a nice, down to earth guy that built a massive cult like following similar to Elvis. On the track, his driving style was described as aggressive, others called it dirty. Behind Petty, he was Nascars greatest driver. I feel sorry for his son though, he's had massive expectations heaped upon his shoulders the day he got into a racecar. That weight only got heavier when his dad died. In the aftermath of his death, there was a great deal of controversy surrounding the cause of his death in the accident. Bill Simpson, owner of Simpson racing products, a company with a long history of supplying the racing industry with seat belts and other racing related safety items was wrongfully accused of supplying insuficient belts. The belts were found broken at the crash scene. As it turned out, it was Earnharts desire to have his seat mounted in a certain position that caused the belts to not be able to work to their maximum efficiency. Nascar knew this but allowed him to keep his seat that way because, well, he was Earnhart. Mr. Simpson had warned Dale about this earlier but Earnhart continued to run his seat that way. He was also the last guy to not wear a full face helmet and instead, used an open face with goggles.

WARNING: DON'T DEAL WITH THIS PERSON Update
The original post is a warning in the Flea market board. I listed his other handles he uses at 2 other forums in case someone here goes over there. I don't know for sure that he's a member here. I have no way to search that info and if he is, he might be using a different screen name here. From the PM's I've received from others concerning their dealings with him I've come to this conclusion. If you're trying to sell something to him his payment will be s-l-o-o-o-w in coming, if it comes at all. If you're buying, the product will be equally slow in coming or in a couple cases like mine and one other, you'll wonder if this guy will ever ship it to you at all. He's used the excuse "I accidently mailed it to myself" on a few occasions. He comes off as a nice guy but is difficult to get ahold of when you're trying to pin him down on mailing dates, tracking numbers, method of shipment, etc.

Charters doing that in my area. They're slowly but surely taking channels from expanded basic cable and putting them on digital which is more expensive.

On a serious note...
On highway 65 south of I-70 in Missouri, on the way to Truman lake for those of you that go that way, there are several minuteman underground silo's VERY close to the road along there. You can see them as you go down the highway.

WARNING: DON'T DEAL WITH THIS PERSON Update
Actually, the reels were shipped overnight, FedEx yesterday. To my knowledge this was the only time he actually sent the reels despite numerous promises that he had shipped them before.

WARNING: DON'T DEAL WITH THIS PERSON Update
Some of you have seen the warning on the flea market board concerning dealing with a person that goes by a couple different handles at 2 other forums. I posted the warning here in case that person may be a member since I had no way to search for him otherwise. Today, 5 days shy of 2 months after sending this guy the money for the Calcutta reels, they finally arrived. Most important, I want to give a big shout out to a couple of Pennsylvania members here who offered their assistance to help me get my money or my reels. That's the Muddy man himself and PA_Bass_Man. Both guys offered to go way above and beyond in order to help me. Kudo's to both of you and I'll be sending both of you PM's shortly. This is a great forum. This occurred at another forum and members here were willing to help. I posted the warning so no one would get shafted by this guy either here, if he's a member, or anywhere else. After posting these warnings at this forum and a couple others, it turns out this is not the first time someone's had a problem with this guy. Again. Thanks for all the offers of assistance. This is truely a great place to be.

Glass Rods
The basic line of thought the pro's always use is fiberglass giving more on the hookset and that, coupled with a stretchier monofilament line, meant for better hookups because you weren't ripping the crankbait out of the fishes mouth. Most pro's agree that bass often don't have the bait positioned ideally in their mouth when they strike a crankbait and a snappier hookset will pull the lure right out of their mouth. Of course, with all that rod giving and line stretching going on you'd better have premo hooks on those crankbaits or you'll never get any sort of penetration.

Revo fans with short pockets
First, 8.75 ounces is less than a Curado and on par or lighter than just about any other reel in that price point. Second, the STX has 11 bearings, the Premier only has 6. How does that equal the performance of the STX? BTW, I'm still pretty disappointed that Garcia hasn't introduced a lower gear ratio reel in at least one of these lines.

KILL SWITCH
Bad kill switch or if you bought this used, it's possibly been over ridden so as not to work.

EWG's vs Offsets
Cart, are you saying you like EWG's or the offsets? When I say the offsets I meant the bent shank worm hooks. Back then all hooks were straight shafted. Some guys used the old Southern Sproat hooks for worming and the others used the bent offsets. Tru Turn was the first that had the twisted shank which supposedly turned into the fishes mouth as you set the hook. Many companies have duplicated it or put their own twist on it. Pun intended. BTW, I still use Sproats for C-rigging, old habit that won't die though I have a harder time finding my old Eagle Claw models I usually use. As for Worming, I agree with Raul, I've had plenty of those offsets (tru-turn style) hooks go through the eye. I've got both, my straight shanks are a heavier shank which I use with thicker worms like the Gatortail. I use the thinner wire tru turns on smaller diameter worms.

Global terror incident locations
One of those in Canada had Greenpeace members protesting the arrival of a shipment of coal to a plant. Another in Houston has a package of white powdery substance found at a mail processing center. Nothing about what it actually was. A stink bomb going off in a Canon City Colorado library. :

Good deal on PFDs.
I'm picturing a Chinese made version of those inflating, bursting and then a cloud of gas knocks you out. They'll find the Chinese used left over, military nerve gas as a cheap means to fill them.

Fiberglass Hull Repair ??
I wouldn't touch that thing. Unless you can get that cap off and expose the foam to dry it, it will merely sit there waterlogged and then mold and mildew will set in (if it hasn't already) and then deterioration, don't think the stringer system can't be affected by sitting with that wet foam all around it. Why buy a headache?

EWG's vs Offsets
I remember when the Tru-turn hooks first came out. Everyone used sproats or offsets back then. After watching another guy absolutely wax my azz in a tournament on worm hook ups I decided to try some of these new hooks. There was no doubt about it, those hooks do increase your hook ups ratio.

a crazy idea
I have a feeling the licorice may start to dissolve making it a rather ineffective bait beyond a cast or 2.

08 BR trip?
I'll admit to hashing things out in my younger years when I was adventurous and experimented more. Put the hash down and get to work fellas.

Ok guys!
If you're saying I've got around $300 to spend on the rigs I'd buy the following. This providing my hands and wrists aren't too shot to hold a round reel. 1 Lightly used 4600 C3 AG reel 2 Lightly used 5500 C3 AG reels 1 All Star Classic 6' Med action 1 All Star Classic 6'6" Med action 1 All Star Classic 6'6" Med/HVY action Cost for the reels on either the Bass fishing forums or Ebay $120 total. Cost for the rods at the same places. $150-160 total. That gets me 3 rigs total. I've got about $30 left for premium line.

10" Berkley Power Worm
Depending on geographical location, there are numerous ways to fish these as well as times of the year. I primarily fish them on deeper structure > 10 in the summer months. I've also fished them through pads and thick weeds with openings where I snake it weightless along the top and then allow the worm to freefall into openings. Even without the weight the worm will sink very slowly. I use a minimum 5/0 hook. Weight depends on the depth you're fishing and the wind. You need to remain in contact with your bait so deeper water with a breeze, may dictate 3/8 oz to 1/2oz. I always attempt to use as light a weight as I can get away with. As for color, that's a personal preference. My colors in the 10" worms I fish are Black/neon, Junebug, Electric Red Shad, Natural Shell, Guido's special.
