  1. I forgot and it ruined my duck hunt this morning. Got up 45 minutes before sunrise instead of the 1 hour 45 min. like i planned but what can you do.
  2. Buy a shimano rod for $40 from a store around you then if you break it you can take it back and get a new rod the same day. You can get a sensitive rod that won't be as durable but you will be able to get a new rod if you happen to break it. Also, it isn't that difficult to take care of a rod, stuff will happen but paying attention will limit most mishaps.
  3. This is a link for how to order the part from shimano. http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/fish/sac/us/en/customer_service/small_parts.html
  4. I am only a shimano guy so i will only comment on shimano's in this post. If you are going to go with the curado i would look at the 100d. I think the 100 size is a all around better size for bass fishing and the weight is a bonus as well. And if you are thinking of the extra $50 on a zillion i would suggest taking a look at a 50mg. I have 3 50mg and i like them better than the calais. At only 5.9 oz it is pleasure to fish with
  5. When do you wear a life jacket (PFD). Personally I don't wear one unless i have to. But at the same time the lake that I fish is a no wake lake, so 5 mph is fast. I am also 16, 130 pounds, and swim well. Just curious as to what you guys think. Also, i am always fishing with a partner who can swim and knows where the life jackets are.
  6. If you need any more taken care of i have a bow, arrows, camo, and a tag ready to go. Nice buck you and your buddy.
  7. To convince me you need to rationalize using 40 lb. braid when a big fish in my area is 5 lb. I see no need to use huge pound test when going after a fish that is a fraction of the pound test. If i break a fish off on 8 -12 pound mono its my fault.
  8. Know if they can make the phone float, that would be the best phone on the market.
  9. Don't lie you know your favorite is reggae. My favorite would be rock and metal.
  10. jayhawk-Love Kansas University, the jayhawks fishin-this is a fishing site and i leave the "g" off a lot.
  11. i was right I knew that a long time ago.
  12. I have taken or gone with about 13 people this year. I have taken out 4 of them before this year also. All of them have caught something.
  13. My dad started me fishing at little ponds. Then we took my grandpa out and then he got me into real fishing. Like softplastics and all the good stuff like baitcasters.
  14. The wind doesn't stop me, but it does stop my dad from going with me. I will atleast try it for a while, there have been times i have been out there and not catch anything and leave because it not fun getting blown around and not catch anything. I like the wind, i seem to catch more this time of year with the wind.

  16. I am a bank/dock beater. I am in a boat but just am not good at catching fish deep. But if the fish are on the shore or by something I see i can do a good job.
  17. My family has a Fish/ski ranger. It is an older model, a 95 i think. I personally like the design of the older ranger over the new one. The reata design just isn't good for fishing. The back deck well just isn't safe in my mind. For little kids to fish on the back i would be worried of someone falling in. The front deck is not very big. The rod lockers are made to hold 4 rods. Also, the price of getting a new boat over a used boat is crazy.
  18. I like Cabelas because I have one about 25 minutes away. Also, if you know who to talk to there they know a lot. With my experience talk to older people, they know whats going on. I have been to a lot of bass pro's but there staff just doesn't seem as good to me.
  19. My boat with a light load 63.2 is the fastes I've gone. Me 120 pounds, rods, gear, and empty live well.
  20. The topic basically says it all. How often do you hit the lake. It has just worked out lately that I have been able to go a lot and just wanted to know what is the average number of times you hit the lake. I have been to the lake 5 out of the last 6 days. But before there was about 2 weeks I wasn't able to just to much going on.
  21. You can always say you caught it in a private pond. Have the benifits without having your lake get stormed with people. Or maybe you could just disclose the lake info.
  22. Yeah I talk the whole reason I go fishing is to have fun. I don't find it fun if you don't go with friends and family. Sure there are times I don't talk but I can talk and fish and the same time. Multi-tasking
