  1. Chicken and waffles in Pennsylvania for breakfast. The locals love it. I would rather enjoy coffee and beignets smothered in powdered sugar. Now that is a breakfast!

Interesting that they did not want a Rat-L-Trap but I have had this happen to me. I have tried a chrome with a black back; a chrome with a blue back; a red one; a diamond shad one; and no takers. But throw out the shad crankbait and they take it. Glad Florida finally named a lake after you. It sure beats having a bathroom named in your honor.
  3. Is this your mid-life crisis? If so, you picked a great one. No, there is nothing wrong with you. You are normal. It is the rest of the world that is all screwed up.
  4. Let me get this straight...you took off as it got too hot? And we are freezing up here in Virginia! Thanks for sharing. Great picture. Maybe you can help Basspro48 catch some when he hits the area later next month! ;D Keep those pics coming. Only thing that helps me keep my sanity.
  5. Anything can freeze when the temperature gets below 32* unless it has alcohol in it or some other properties that will not freeze. I do not believe anyone has ever asked this question before and to tell you the truth, I have no idea. But I agree in a philosophical manner that yes, your plastics can freeze and your hard baits will get really cold. I have no idea what will happen to your plastics but I would think your hardbaits would be OK. And do you have a place in your house that you can store the items to avoid having them freeze or overheat in the summer?
  6. Did you say Stick Marsh? Did you see Avid or StevenP? Or George Welcome? Great post. So glad someone is out there catching something. It is going down into the teens up here in Virginia so I am so glad you guys are doing well in Florida.
  7. Come on, guys. Zorn will do great at Washinton if Campbell is ready to play at 100% next year. Hope the Skins can get some good Offensive Linemen this draft or free agency or trades to help protect the QB and open some holes for the running game.
  8. John J, go do some homework!
  9. I only throw cranks on baitcasters. I use a Curado 7:1 ratio reel so I can reel fast or slow. Also use a Curado 100s and 200s when pond fishing.
  10. My brother the attorney tells me that even if you get a patent on the lure the guys in the Orient will copy it and sell it which is a big problem. Patent attorneys make their money fighting others who have copied your idea. You usually lose if it is an overseas company. In this month's issue of Bass Times on page 54 is an article about Michael Kane and how he started his business. He started out by making and giving a few of his spinnerbaits to friends and then he went to trade shows selling the lures. He now has a web site and a 72-pate catalog plus a 3,000 square foot store. He holds monthly fishing seminars and hosts a kids fishing day. You may want to contact him to find out if he patented his bait or did nothing. Tournament Force Tackle Systems, www.tfbass.com Good luck.

Glad Junior won. What was so amazing was the finish of Johnson and Gordon from where they started. Should be a fun year with Stewart going off the deep end so early.
  12. 100's. Seem to be a very good size for this area.
  13. Can't get it to play. When I go to a certain Army post my car is inspected very throughly by armed men and women. No problem. If we are going to have body searches can Muddy and I do them? Sounds like a lot of fun. ;D
  14. Yes, the video is dumb. I guess ESPN doesn't have such a good sense of humor to be able to produce a funny view of competitive bass fishing. But ESPN allows Charlie Moore to live on TV which in my opinion is a greater insult to us bass guys than this stuipd video.
  15. I guess bass fishing is "big time" now that it has a movie just like NASCAR and figure skating.
  16. Glad you are back. Living in Georgia means you can get back on the water before the guys up north so you are fortunate to be living in Dixie.
  17. That's Chigger. Hope the TV show he was in returns this summer as it was very interesting and informative.

Cajun 77, Yes, I used to follow The Young and Restless for many years at my old place of employment. I watched it with the women in the office. Never did trust Nickie!
  19. Tony is an agressive driver and I enjoy watching him on TV and at the races. I like all the drivers with the exception of the Bush brothers and Ryan Newman. Maybe when the Bush brothers get a little older and wiser I will not dislike them as much as I do. I also do not like Newman. He and Rusty had some problems when Rusty tried to help him and if you have a negative attitude against one of the best drivers and ambassadors of NASCAR you can do go squat thursts over a fire plug.
  20. When I fish a pond from shore: AM - Topwater, like a buzzbait or a Pop-R or a Puppy Spook. After that - Wacky rigged Senkos and finesse worms. After that - Spinnerbaits and crankbaits, depending on the bottom. After that - Jigs Then go back to Wacky or Texas rigged Senkos. PM - Buzzbaits. However, with said, if they are hitting the Senkos then keep with the Senkos. Or whatever they are hitting until the bite stops and go to something else. You have to know your pond or lake and what structure, cover and bottom composition are in the area you are fishing.

Sure sounds like you guys are discussing a soap opera.
  22. Appalatchian State University in Boone, North Carolina has agreed to open their season in Tiger Stadium against Louisiana State University on August 30, 2008. Appy State is the defending Division II champion while LSU is the defending BCS champion. This is the first time two defending National Championship teams will face each other in the history of college football. When LSU played Florida last year it was the current #1 ranked team playing last season's #1 ranked team, with LSU prevailing 28-24 in Baton Rouge. The talking heads will now fill their air space about Appy State's upset of Michigan in the Big House last year and how they can do the same in Tiger Stadium. The answer to their concerns is a big, fat NO! LSU should win the game on their way to another brilliant season. LSU leads the series with Appy State 1-0 by virture of a 24-0 win the last time the two teams met.
  23. Flippen, Don't say FedEx. Say UPS even if it is FedEx. LBH will be proud that the delivery arrived safe and sound.
  24. Robert, I thought you would be a "Viper" kind of guy. I was told that the Viper is the only pace car in the history of the Indy 500 that did not have to be modified to be the pace car. And I was at the race and let me tell you that that Viper could really move out. It was something to see and appreciate.
  25. Dave, Has this been your problem on why you are not catching more fish? You can't see? ;D May I suggest getting one of those straps that hold the sunglasses on your head? They will prevent them from falling off. Wal-Mart sells them and so do other sporting goods stores. Excellent investment. Just walk in and tell the lady in the lady in the sporting goods department that you need a strap and see what happens. Remember, this is a cloth band that holds the glasses on your face. And remember to take them off when you send in your pictures.
