I agree with RW. The rod power and action is very importantant when fishing anything with treble hooks. I use a med-light rod for jerkbaits. To add,, I feel the line is important as well. I use a limp line that has good stretch, like P-Line CXX 8 lb. test.

This is one lure I believe it's safe to say, a ribbontail worm is a ribbontail worm. Yes C-Mac worms work great just like several brands of ribbontails.

I keep my boat turned into the wind. I try not to fish crosswind. Most of the time, pending on conditions, wind helps sell power lures to the fish. I love crankbaits and spinnerbaits for fishing windy conditions. If I'm fishing a jig or a rig, I beef up the weight.

I just woke up this morning from licking my wounds. I fished the Stren tournament on Ky. Lake this week, as a co-angler, and am wore out. It was an interesting experience. I made the best out of it, finishing 15th out of 199. I should be fishing today but I forgot to re-tie my jig on Wednesday and Friday after catching a fish resulting in two broke off fish that would have put me up near the top. Oh well it's my own fault. I caught a nice 5 1/2 lber on Thursday off one of my own spots, well all of my fish were caught off of one of my spots. But anyway I'm not complaining. I met alot of great anglers that shared alot of great tips and info with me. Next year I will be in the front of the boat! CJ

I hope your club pres does something about this. It sounds like you are inbetween a rock and a hardspot. Your husband deserves to know but I understand the sitiuation. Ahhh...I finally got to kick back and watch a whole Cards game in my Lazy Boy today! And a good game it was. Adam Wainwright is a stud! The Cards are off to a better start than anyone would have expected and Albert hasn't even got hot ..."yet"!
