  1. Yep same here I bought one when they first came out and that was the last berkley product I have ever bought.
  2. Yes they work good there are many ways work one. I like to throw them in the slop and work them into openings. I use Zooms horny toad and I like the green pumpkin with red flakes. Also a tip here wait until you feel the fish before you set the hook or you might miss him Oh and welcome aboard
  3. I have been using it for over a year now, No problems here.
  4. Did anyone else happen to see the little article in Infishermans bass issue about the the horny toad and chatterbait. It's not really a article but just a caption. Basically it says take the skirt and trailer off the chatterbait and replace it with the horny toad. I wonder how well that will work, has anyone tried it
  5. Good thing I stocked up on them a couple weeks ago. I bought an estimated $180-200 dollars worth on clearance for $50 bucks
  6. My review is I haven't found a flurcarbon line that I have liked yet
  7. The main reason I stayed away from magnesium reels. Not worth the headache of worrying about a scratch and corrosion
  8. I have the shimano 7:1 200dhsv and I like it has done well. I have bought two zillions not the 7:1 versions but the 6:3 versions I think there both the same size but anyways I like my shimano its a great reel but after using the zilliion the curado feels like a big ocean reel now. I will say this much about the curado I do like it alot better than the old model curados. But I highly suggest giving the zillion a try
  9. Here where I live in Northern Ky, The ups driver I talk to on a daily basis says they put in 10 hrs or 11 hrs daily. and have not been slow for years. I can see why with the way it's growing here and us being so close to Cincinnati. and all the industry being built and with the airport being a major player in the game as well. Maybe you might like it here in ky kinda in the middle close to the south and close to your home now A absoulute ton on job oppurtunitys here.
  10. Been using it for over a year now and no problems so far
  11. I have both myself and I personally like them both. I kinda feel that it's good to have a couple brands of rods and reels to compare to each other and to experiance something different from both brands. I was at one time all shimano but I felt like trying something new and bought a Diawa Zillion and now I 'm glad I did because I have two favorite brands now. I have also like most people experimented with St Croix and G loomis and I'm pleased with both all though I do like the loomis better, I still think both are great. It's all preferance to each there own
  12. Haven't had any problems casting lighter baits with mine either, I guess it's all in your casting abilitys
  13. I can tell you the game warden here in ky would have given a ticket and probally taken the gear being used, rightfully so. The law is the law. Weakley broke the law and the park ranger, game warden what ever they are called there didn't do his job plain and simple. I too wish some kid with a snoopy rod and reel would reel the WR in that would be something to talk about.
  14. I would guess five maybe six but I would think five is more accurate
  15. Honestly I like shimano and Diawa both I haven't used a super tuned but I have had a Citica. I think I read somwhere here before that you had a 50 mg, My experiance with the citica wasn't what I hoped it would be. The shimano Curado 200dhsv was my first shimano reel and I like it alot and I thought I would like the Citica as well but as it turned out I wasn't very happy with it after being so used to my Curado. I would almost think that you might be in the same situation as you are probally used to your Mg and while the Citica is a good reel for the money I think once you go High end it's hard to come back down, atleast that has been my experiance. Maybe you might like it but I didn't.
  16. If it helps any I don't have one but while I was at BPS this weekend the revo was the only reel sold out. Not even one left in the display case. That has to say something
  17. Must be some Lazy law enforcement in California. :
  18. I had a Chronarch b but after buying a zillion I took it back and got another zillion. I like shimano but Diawa is in the game with this reel. Compare the two when you buy them and I think you will take the zillion. Just come in from fishing and man this reel is so sweet. I agree go with the zillion you won't regret it
  19. I really can't see how that would work myself
  20. You might as well buy two because your going to want more after you get one
  21. I seen some being used today at a demo tank at a tackle show I was at and needless to say it looked like a crane cable going through the water. I couldn't beleave how much it stood out in the water. I wouldn't use it myself but if your fishing slop for largemouth it might be ok but if its clear water and the fish are line shy then your screwed.
  22. My wife's uncle caught a couple of condoms within a week a part of each other. He was fishing the Ohio river, hard telling what you might catch there. Needless to say the crankbaits he caught them on didn't get returned to the tackle bag
  23. The bait monkey worked some overtime this weekend. Friday night I stocked up on some hooks. I went to BPS yesterday and bought a new Diawa Zillion, liked it so much I went today and bought another one. Well on the way home I stopped at a local tackle store who was haveing a tackle show and managed to get all these Fat Ika's for fifty dollars yes I said $50. They had a clearance on a bunch of stuff and had it where if you could fit it in a 1 gallon zip lock bag it was yours for for $50. I loaded up on the Ika's which was the only GYCB baits they had on clearance. If I didn't buy a new reel today I would have had four bags full of stuff. I bought almost every Ika they had except for a couple of colors I didn't want. NO FEAR I have the bait monkey under control These are just the ones I bought today I got more on friday for $4.41 a bag They must of really wanted to get rid of stuff because they didn't start the fifty dollar bags untill today.
