  1. I am using 12# Vanish on 1 rod and I haven't had any problems with it yet. I will say I am very new to Fluoro.
  2. Still waiting for a pair of them . 30? days I think,
  3. I sent off for a pair of the boat bags you get if you buy a reel . Mailed it on Monday and had my stuff on Friday!
  4. Shimano Sellus! It will come in under budget and outperform rods above its price range.
  5. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v635/curt54321/IMG_20110724_202500.jpg Veritas & Lews
  6. 8 miles of still water yesterday on the kayak yesterday was 1 heck of a workout.
  7. I got 4 of them last night. They were over $5 for 4 of them!
  8. I also want to thank him. I few weeks ago had him pick me out some jigs and send them to me. I was very impressed with the jigs I got and the powder coat on the jig head is holding up excellent!!!
  9. Pink Lady's are also good!
  10. SBR AR-15 If you truly need to protect yourself 30rds of 223 in a tactical platform is hard to beat ! the bigger choice may be ammo. My house is old enough that it has Plastered walls. I doubt that a hollow point will consistently enough go through a wall to get at an assailant using a wall for cover but a fmj may zip right through a person (or Zombie) not subduing them as fast as a hp will. BTW I have a 45xd with Trijicons in a small safe by my pillow (16''away) HOPEFULLY this will keep me & my family alive until I can get to one of my ARs. I have small children so I don't have the option of being able to have a just gun laying out...
  11. Most low end fish finders have a nice volt meter? built in. I'd go that route if you only have 1 battery.
  12. +1 50# PP or 832 work good . If you are using a worm hook DON'T use the ones for superlines they don't bend well.
  13. Mid August Sunrise & sunset. Watching a bass swirl in the water as it works a school of baitfish then walking a frog over the top of it. CRUSH!!!
  14. Nice rod. Nice reel Time to respool! Kistler 7' MH Micro guide stick worm rod Lew's TP 50# 832Hi-vis
  15. I like the fast reels a lot! I have no problems slowing them down... but if you think you need to unload that old Shimano & keep that bps send me a pm.
  16. OK I got the Sellus wet Yesterday and I like it. IMHO It's the best rod I've seen in the $60 range by far! This thing is actually usable and not just a waste of money . I figured the Medium rating would be too light for a crancbait but it turns out it did fine (the small amount I threw a lipless crank). I could actually feel the "rattles" in the crank through the rod. I mainly threw Flukes & Paddle tales. I had a 50e Curado on it with older 8# test and the line broke on me a couple of times setting the hook... so I started using another rod but I can't wait to get new line and get it wet again. This time with a 10-12# flouro untill I remember how bad I hate that S**T!
  17. 1/2 stick! not very suttle but hey.
  18. I got one Today 7'm Crankbait. I think/plan on it being a better weightless plastic rod . I'll get it wet Tomorrow and let you all know what I think.
  19. I got my rods Today & I must say I'm impressed! For $50 they are 1 HELL of a deal!!! They say "Grass Puncher x" On them. The punch rod I have now is 7'6'' & thats great out of the boat or from the bank but too long from the Kayak (for me) 7' Will be great in the Kayak. Another thing I like is the grip is a bit smaller in diamiter than the grip on my other split grip Kistler. I'd highly advise everyone to pick one up. The Shimano is a nice rod for the money too (other than the EVA) & BTW it's not White but a Grayish color. Btw the Shimano Sellus is a Crankbait rod but at Medium power I think it'll make a better weightless plastic rod. imho
  20. I love it when a plan comes together.
  21. I am a Cork guy but other than that I like my Veritas. Check out the Lamiglas with micros.
  22. Lamiglas Excel Micro Guide Cast Rod 7' Med Lt Micro guides with Cork for $119! This may be my next rod I am also looking at the older 2010 Cork Shimano rods.
