I've fished on Fork once and would love to go back but I voted Erie because I've not fished it.....plus brown fish are really fun to catch!!

KVD 1.5 in Citrus Shad, however....Chris Lane on the road trip suggested his go to confidence bait is a Luck E Strike RC2 (no other hints).....so before I got home from the road trip I made a detour to BPS and picked up a couple series 3 in Tasty Shad, hope I can have half Chris luck (skill)....we'll see!

I would at least get 3/0 and 4/0 but if you have to limit yourself to one or the other make sure you buy baits to match.

Back at work after a great time. Thanks to Long Mike, Traveler and WMD for toting me around in their boats and Ghoti & Roadwarrier for putting up with me as an additional co angler. Wish we had caught more fish but enjoyed the ones I did catch. Conditions were less than favorable but it sure beat a day at work!! The evening functions were alot of fun. RW's burgers were excellent and it was great to hear and meet Chris Lane, just sorry I had to leave early and miss Alpsters jambalaya. Appreciate all the work that went into putting this together by Long Mike, Zip Pow and of course Glenn & Kerri. Look forward to next year.

Made my last trip to BPS.....fishing Percy Priest Lake Sat til noon or so then down to the Big G for the soreee. Got all my gear together, with the Priest trip that increased my arsenal to 11 sticks....ridiculous when I figure to use no more than 4 or 5. Can't complain about the wife packing shoes for a trip anymore!! Got to pack up some threads to wear tomorrow and its off for 5 days of fishing bliss. Can't wait to see my old friends (been too long) and make some new ones.

Just curious if anyone applies scents (ie JJ's Magic etc..) to baits that already have scents built into them. I'm thinking like paca craws that already have a strong anise scent, Berkely Power Bait or Strike King / Rage with their coffee scent. I tend to leave these baits as is when fishing them but with products like Zoom with little scent I'll use an added scent.

When I first started building my arsenal I got caught up in trying the newest or best etc... and ended up with a number of different brands. I'm not dissapointed in any of them but if I had to do it over I would have stuck with all Shimano. Not because I think they are better, I just like them the best. The other point is that each brand fishes / casts a little different and I would have preferred the consistency of one brand. My favorites are the Cronarch 50MG which is no longer made and the Symetre for spinning (I don't use a spinning rod too often).

I actually have a 3 bait rig since the 5 bait Alabama rig is illegal in TN. I only recently got it and tried it out on the small lake behind my house. Caught a fish on the first cast, used it for 15 more minutes with no more action. It does not rotate. I plan on bringing it so we can play with it some on Tuesday and see what happens.....might even go to BPS tonight and pick up a real 5 bait AL rig.

I was up on the front deck (I was fishing from the back) trying to free a hung lure. My buddy thought I had returned to the back deck and proceeded to cast. He hung a jig in my lip on his back cast. Trip to the ER ensued!!

For sure, I fish them both T rig and C rig. I've used zoom, berkley power bait and rage all with success.

No need to check with me about fishing with RW, I look forward to that......it's the threesome term that troubles me

My last club tournament I discovered a pattern....all my fish involved a KVD branded item. A KVD 1.5 squarebill, KVD swim jig, KVD Coffee Tube (color KVD kick). The only other item was a zoom lizard but I did use KVD line and lure conditioner. My partner suggested I get rid of anything without the KVD brand.....I'm thinking about it LOL

I love mine, I primarily use it as my carolina rig rod which is a technique I use frequently. It's got a Daiwa Zillion on it.
