ive caught a few nice eyeballs on a 5inch senko and i saw my friend catch and eyeball too ...

they must be ok ... from what i have read Butch Brown fishes loomis rods ... and if ya dont know who Butch Brown is you better put the swimbait down and read up .... Butch is like the godfather of fishing swimbaits .... that being said ,,, im still going with dobyans ... that 795ml has my name all over it ...

nice pics ... becareful that spro is hard to put down once you hook a few bass on it .... IMO the spro is the best frog on the market ,,, they did a great job on thet frog //// i geuss when you have Dean rojahs helping it would be hard not to have a good frog ... ;D

the chronarch bs are freeging sweet ,,, untill i saw the zillions were 20 bucks cheeper ... i went with the zillion and never looked back ... now if you must have shimano the chronach b is one sweet reel ... you may wanna think about the new cu that reel looks sweet for the price

for the money the scIII blank is great ,, the med would be perfect for what you want ...

nice bass i seconed the comment on the gloves ... how will you ever get bass thumb if you wearing gloves the ladies love bass thumb .... and they love it more when your hands smell of fresh bass ... LOL

St Croix: SCIII 3S66MF SCII 2S66MF - Any significant difference between these two? theres a big difference IMO .... one the avid blank is a huge step up from the premiere blank .... the scIII is liter and offers great feel .... the scII is heavyier and the feel seems dull ... now i not saying the premiere blanks are crap ... im just saying the avid blanks are a huge step up ... the avids are a must have rod IMO they are nice in almost every aspect .... well worth the extra money IMO go with the scIII ;D

i just returned from camping in northern WI ... i have a few pics to share ... i caught all of these bass on a spro frog ... i went to one of my favorite spring time lakes to find a ton of slop ... this lake does have some big bass 5lb range .... altho i didnt catch any i know they are there ... these bass where all caught on a lake where we take the kidds swimming ... i always do some grilling while the kids swim ,,, i also do some fishing right off the side of the swimming area ... this lake does have some bigguns in it ,,, but i didnt have a boat so i was stuck fishing the shore line while cooking lunch i noticed this eagle circling overhead .... it was sweet i never seen an eagle swoop so close to me ,,, later there were 3 eagles all circling the lake ,,, it was a sight to see ... here are my step kids with the bass they caught ,,, my step daughter is holding the first bass she ever caught she is pumped ... and the boy well he caught fish before ,, he still doesnt want to touch them tho :... this is my boy he is 5 years old ,,, he managed a small bass ... he is pumped ,,, he caught his 1st bass when he was 3 years old ... so we had a great time ... all fish were returned to the lakes to see another day ... i cant wait to get back up there ... ;D

okuma is more than likely the best value at 100 bucks ...

this could be due to line ,,, you dont want to use a lite line or mono ... the strech in mono can hinder hooksets .... i like 15lb cxx for jigs ... also the rod has alot to due with it ... i use a avid or ltb 7ft med hev fast action rod ,,, this is a stout rod by most standards ... then comes the hookset ,,, you wanna slam that hook home ... good job muddy ... the jig isnt the easiest bait to use ,,, but well worth it when you do learn ... heres somthing to chew on most of last years elite series were won with a jig .... you may say why ,, well i do believe you catch bigger fish with a jig ... also the jig is one of the most well rounded baits out there ,,, season doesnt seem to matter ... the olny other bait that is as well rounded IMO is the spinner bait ... so keep at it ,, the jig is always my first choice and i always have 1 tied on ... ;D

avid 7ft med-hev fast .... thats where id start .... plenty of power ... in fact this is the rod i use to fish senkos in cover ...

But like I said, the main purpose for the observer is to babysit the pro. (Make sure he doesn't get off the boat to land a fish, or snag fish, help him back in the boat if he should fall out, you know, babysitting type stuff) You don't go to a pro football game to babysit the players.....the NFL pays referees to babysit the players while on the field, and they pay them well I might add. it will be funny to see how this pans out .... id laugh my a** off if they couldent get the people they need to watch the pros ... it happens all the time on the weekend series .... the are always haveing boaters switch over to non boaters just so it works ... see you have to remember they need these people through the whole 3 days of fishing ,,, how many people will call into work to watch fridays .... not to mention before the field gets cut ... espn is stupid stupid stupid

i have to disagree with you .... one bassfishing is bassfishing ,,, you cant compair it other sports .... 2nd most guys that fish as nonboaters are there to fish and compete for the 25k .... they are also there to learn .... they also pay a ton to fish one elite event ,,, i dont see why they would pay the cash if they really couldent fish .... lastly it was a big step down ,,, theres no reason why any angler shouldent be allowed to compete in any event .... all the pros can talk smak but they all started on the back of someones boat ... its just another reason espn is ruining bass ... i have never fished any tourney as a non boater or a boater .... but i have followed bass for a while now ,,, and it just gets worse and worse ... the nice thing about bass was the interaction with the regular angler .... the fact you had the option to fish an event if you wanted to .... just another reason to fish the flw or any other tour out there .... ;D

ohh man ... im done for ,,, the wife will leave me for sure now .... these new elite extremes ... ill be needing at least 2 of these ,,, then ill be needing 2 steeze casters ... yup im done for .... im happy croix now offers a flipping stick in the elite line .... ;D

ill tell you what ... im a cheese head ,,, lived in green bay for 10 years pluse .... brett favre is still in the top 5 qbs out there .... if brett wants to come back ,,, roll the red carpet .... A-rod needs to hit the back seat or hit the bricks as far as im concered ... as a person who has lived in green bay i know BRETT is green bay .... there is a share holders meeting coming up this week ,,, the topic is brett .... welll see what happens ... i will say ,, i have spoke to many share holder ... most have said if brett doent return Ted Thompson will get walking papers ... i would also like to note Ron Wolf old GM of the green bay packers just baught a house in thorn berry creek in green bay ( some may think we may need a GM soon ).... so for now brett is in a pi**ing contest with ted and mike ... see there are concerns whit ol ted ... since brett left packers family night didnt sell out .... you may say why is this wierd ,,, well packers familiy night has sold out since i can remember ... people would camp to get tickets ... now if green bay throws brett to the side ,,, i bet the games wont even sell out ... and this doesnt happen in green bay ... i believe ted should pack his bags and hit the bricks .... he can take his golden boy rodgers with him .... everyone one here knows ted wants to be the next Ron Wolf ,,, thats why he wants his rodgers out there .... thats fine and dandy but if a green bay legened wants to play send the kid to the pourch .... ;D just my thoughts

id get the med .... st croix rods do seem more powerful compaired to other companys ....

this is what id suggest ^^^^

you can also run some eltrical tape around the bare spool 1st ... then just tie the braid direct to the taped spool ... this will help with any slipage .... i believe its easier than tryin to explan the uni to uni knot or blood knot .... just strip the spool of all line ,,, then tape the spool where the line goes on .... go around the spool 15-20 times so the tape is thick in there .... then tie the braid direct and spool er up ...
