  1. Nowadays, the 5" 100% of the time. Have used the 4" in the past, but have moved on from them.
  2. A blast from the past! Haha. A solid top three. I make my own now, but before when I was on the Robos that would of also been my top 3 for sure. Honorable mention for Oxblood W/ Red Flake and New Ayu.
  3. In the bays out this way, that setup is a go to rig for me. In the lakes, not so much. Just a regular d-shot weight. The difference being, the bays is more of a cast and retrieve deal, with the lakes being more of a vertical presentation where the swivel is more crucial. TBH, probably the most unusual thing I do is I flyline or T-Rig a Senko 99.99% of the time, while others always seem to be fishing them wacky. I don't do the wacky! Haha
  4. Don't even trip, that is so CLOSE it seems very easy to confuse.
  5. Rod is fine, line is too light IMO though. I use MINIMUM 12, but prefer 15-20 for top water. Always mono (or braid IE: Frogs) for top water as well, never flouro. However, 10 lb Sunline Sniper is my GO-TO worm fishing line.
  6. I can't do the T handle on spinning reels. 2500 size for me only.
  7. I wouldn't say weird, but that is quite the combo!
  8. People around here know and just don't care. They still say ruh-pal-ah. haha
  9. Right handed, right eye dominant. Fish bait casters with a RH retrieve, spinning reels with LH retrieve. All hand use activities I use my RH, except for fishing spinning reels. I surf with my left foot back (GF), but kick with my right foot. Go figure...
  10. So tragic. Thoughts and prayers to the families.
  11. For pure versatility, the lipless by a mile. However, they are so different form each other I wouldn't limit myself to just one. You should have both if you can swing it.
  12. Welcome aboard neighbor to the North.
  13. Permits were permanently revoked for all future building in the state of CA.
  14. The 3 most CRUCIAL things in glassing with epoxy resin are: 1 - It needs to be mixed at the EXACT ratio of resin to hardener called for. 2 - It needs to be mixed as THOROUGHLY as possible. 3 - It needs to be cured within its proper temperature range. Any deviation from these 3 things and trouble is on the horizon.
  15. Do not get rid of it. Even if for the sentimental value alone. The Calcutta B series has to be one of if not the longest running models still in production today. They are absolute tanks and are a true testament to great engineering done right.
  16. I don't know about that. You did win a brand new PICKUP TRUCK recently! Congrats!
  17. Haven't fished with him (Todd Kline), but from everything I have seen, he has DVL WIRED. Ex pro surfer from Florida, current pro angler in So Cal who has a strong knowledge of DVL and I believe Skinner as well. Edit: Sorry, I just saw your OP was from last year. Hopefully you guys got on em good.
  18. You guys are lucky. I'm next door to you and think its so ridiculous. We passed a prop to end it, but it needs to be approved by legislation and now the bill has now been delayed. Ugh.
  19. You got on em, so it sounds like you're good to me. You dint need all that fancy smancy stuff to catch em, so stay with it. You're enjoying your time on the water and still getting em. Cheers to many more Bass with out all the bells and whistles.
  20. I get mine sourced locally in bulk, however, a really nice jig head that I use that is available nationally is the VMC Boxer Jig Head. Nice hooks, really cool head design and good colors too. Very reasonably priced as well for what you get. Had a couple of toads down in MX eat it with one of my swimmies attached as a stand alone bait.
  21. Man, what a Hoss! I love your posts and videos. Always ready with the net, the mat, the camera. Good stuff.
  22. This website as a resource is priceless! Thank you Glenn, contributors and sponsors. Seriously good stuff from both. With that being said, nothing will ever replace time on the water and trial and error for real time experience.
  23. That's the fun part of Bass fishing for me, putting together the pieces of the puzzle.
