  1. My same reaction in Southern California. Haha. Gas prices at $6.60 a gal, not so funny...
  2. I like 5's for cranks, 6's for baits with blades and 7's for bottom baits & topwater.
  3. It really is all I really need.
  4. I'm a worm dragger and could get away with just a few types of baits to be honest... 6" straight worm 6" Stik worm 6" Lizard Compact creature (think BBH) 5" Fluke Craw type trailer Of course I have and fish way more options than these, but I feel like I could get it done with just these. As far as colors go, just as simple... Watermelon Pumpkin Green Pumpkin Junebug Black Shad Again, I have and use a ton of colors, but can get it done with just a few.
  5. While I generally find Ikes antics insufferable, I definitely find "Karens" antics much worse!
  6. Cover? I was all about Tules when I got into it. Lakes have switched and so has the cover. Now I seek rocky outcroppings regularly. Structure? Cant beat a main lake point IMO.
  7. LC LV 500 is as close to sure thing as it gets for me.
  8. Got me wanting to go back. What an incredible place.
  9. What an incredible post! Thank you for the detailed write up. Got me wanting to load up the truck and hit the road...
  10. Morning Dawn, Margarita Mutilator and Arrons Magic were the only 3 colors I ever needed before I started making my own.
  11. You can weight them no problem, but you might be better off just using something else at that point. I definitely wouldn't cut them up for Neds. I would just buy other worms and save some money and the Senkos for what they are deadly at, weightless presentations.
  12. How long should you wait? You shouldn't. I hit em' instantly.
  13. I belong to 3 fishing forums. This one, a huge saltwater centered one and a local one to my county I live in. This one is by far the best one on the net as far as Bass fishing goes IMHO and a huge part of that is because the member are super helpful to their fellow anglers. Good job guys and gals. Keep up the good work.
  14. Yup. Shimano only. Curdados, Calcuttas, Tranx and Stradics. If it wasn't Shimano, it would be all Daiwa. I just prefer the form factor better on Shimano low pro baitcasters. My saltwater conventional reels are all Penn.
  15. Pretty darn solid recommendation.
  16. Yup. It doesn't count until its in the boat. With that being said, who cares? You got outdoors, got bit, its all good.
  17. What an epic day. Congrats man.
  18. This is a great suggestion if you want to keep using that one particular trailer bait.
  19. Nah, but quite a few of my rods are. Have some a little less expensive too.
  20. Well, new to me for 2022, I finally bit the bullet and ponied up and bought some 110's and some Jackhammers. Took a hot minute! Haha. We'll see if they are worth the price of admission for me or if I just stick with my Pointers and regular Zman's. Other than that, I am looking forward to trying the Shimano Word Minnows and World Divers once I am able to finally source some.
  21. Yup. Me too. No need for anything else for me. I'm mostly throwing GP though.
  22. The B Monkey just got me for a couple of few of these exact two lures the other day! haha
  23. Water, sunglasses, sunscreen, TP, pliers, PFD, knife, jerky and a plastic worm.
